A big Howdy from Texas! A state that's well on it's way to turning a deep shade of political purple. While I mostly ride the fence, my steed will set a hoof down on either side from time to time. Although I tend to be opinionated, I'm not the argumentative type. I try to keep my cool and I don't suffer fools. I view politicians as oil that keeps our system from seizing up. But everyone should know that you have to keep your oil changed or you're just asking for trouble. If you leave the oil in too long, it will become contaminated and dirty. And that will eventually cause the whole system to fail.
Making false claims about other members isn't arguing. I guess they didn't teach you that in boot camp...
You know that Bootcamp is not in the Army, right? The Army has Basic Combat Training. Bootcamp is for the swimmers. Glad I was able to clear up your confusion

I found Canada to be an outstanding country when there several times through the 1980's. Tell me, does Canada now share the same perplexity as the U.S., where it's considered offensive to basically half the population to exhibit any patriotism or love for your country?
Lonesome Dove is one of my favorite series/movies. I've seen it many times, as well as read all the books. Although I enjoyed every single book, I found all the subsequent cinematic offerings to pale in comparison to the original series. I use quotes from the series often. Too often, as my wife would say.

Sadly Texas is being contaminated with liberal refugees from economically depressed blue state and it is starting to change the politics in Texas
I remember when TX was a blue state. You know, back when it was still governed by that woman, Anne.....It's been a while though. And ever since, it seems to be doing vastly better. Perhaps, given enough illegal immigration, and enough locusts from California or the NE moving in... it might take a generation, but likely that purple will fade... As we've seen in countless of the western states as the liberals move in, the problems start stacking up.
I think some of those problems are beginning to accumulate in the big cities. Rural Texans continue to "look on" at what liberal governorship can do, and they use it as an example of ineptitude.
