I'm not a liberal and I still "cling" to AGW. I do this because of the abundance of evidence not because of blind faith.

Correct. I am not a liberal or a Democrat. But, I'm also not a conservative nor a Republican. It's kind of a neat position to be in because I get to bash politicians on both sides of the political spectrum and I don't feel any inhibition or guilt about it. I don't participate as much in the more ideological based threads on this forum, but I do defend conservative viewpoints about as much as liberal ones...maybe even more. I don't know...sometimes it's hard to recognize your biases, but I really do try to be middle of the road and see things from an outsider's perspective.

The outside temperature is not something we can command with a giant liberal thermostate controlling the planet

The report I saw said there were a record number of record lows in the U.S. for the beginning of April. not just my backyard. Besides, if the World were on fire, what could you do about it?

 

You are behind times. The conspiracy theorists decided that the Earth wasn't warming and changed it to "climate change". Much more inclusive.

 

Your backyard nor the entire United States are not the same as the globe. In other words, the United States is NOT the same thing as the whole Earth.

Global Warming is in reference to the increase in the global mean temperature.

Climate Change is a broader term used to describe the effects of the warming both a global scale and on regional scales.

Yeah, what are you doing about it? Off the power grid? Ride a bicycle? Don't use fossil fuels?

 

I'm not doing anything about. But, to be fair, I'm not asking anyone to do anything about it either.
