Does the typical Iranian in Iran love the Mullahs?

Only if they were born there.

Most Persians here were born in Iran, pre 79.

Many highly educated and even wealthy.

The upsurge of prices in 2008 has been controlled to some extent. It made people angry, but they are not rising. The protests are now only in Tehran, as far as I know.

Mullahs maybe yes, regime not, at least in my city.
But some cities like Shiraz (my city) and Tehranare known for being secular cities, not representative of the whole govt.

But being born somewhere doesn't make it one's country when they leave it forever. They may forget the culture, and not be representative of the majority Muslim Iran

They left as adults to flee the theocracy.

Forced out of their own country, or facing death.

I know, but they can not represent Iranian people, just because if genetics or some culture and language. They are immigrants.

And, the typical Iranian either could not affrord toleave the country or was not against the government at that time. So the typical Iranian didn't immigrate.

Fine, I see no reason to disagree- I merely wish to show that the PEOPLE of Iran are NOT their govt.

Of course. There was no need to show me that's. I already knew it, as I live here.
The protest here was just 1 or 2 days, only in up-town.

I was wondering when someone was going to refer to Neda. Kudos to the Daily Beast for publishing this:

    Exactly my point!

Any claim that Trump is interested in negotiations with Iran is just plain silly.

We had multiple nations whose signatures were on that deal. When Iran didn't live up to it, all those nations needed to step up and show what their signatures were worth.

Trump demonstrated that OUR signature was worthless.

Other European nations believe THEIR signatures actually mean something, so the are working on this issue. However, doing so after Trump trashed the deal and assassinated a top Iranian official means those nations are in an exceptionally weak position.

If negotiations are to work AT ALL, our signature has to mean something.

Trump proved America's signature is worthless and that we're not interested in negotiations. For Iran, that supports the position that they need nuclear deterrence.

Hitler's hate for Jews did not motivate our entrance or dedication in WWII. So, that comment is nonsense.

I'm pointing out that those excited about the assassination are ignoring that it is a failed direction that has no possibility of leading to success in our major directions, including our desire to eliminate or at least reduce the Quds force and our concern for a nuclear Iran or an Iraq infected by Iran.

We're not going to win anything by more assassinations. That hasn't worked so far with our drone program that was stepped up under Obama and it isn't going to work in some future.

Today, Iran announced a $3 million dollar award (cash) to whoever kills Trump.

Iran is not ready to join the civilized world quite yet. Maybe, just maybe, in a thousand years.

The left sees capitalism, Christianity, and the traditional American values of 1776 as “evil”. They also see those elements as the biggest roadblocks to a one world/socialist government.

Since ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’, they see radical Islam as a powerful ally against capitalism, Christianity, and American values. This is why the left is supportive of Islam in general and especially radical Islam.

You have to step back, look at the big picture, and connect the dots.

I’m not talking about the garden variety lib like there are in my family. I’m talking about the leftists - the true believers who hate America and long for one world government.
