I’m just curious. Usually any thread saying anything negative about the Saudis, you immediately jump in to their defense using your anecdotal accounts of how amazingly humanitarian the Saudis are, but this thread you haven’t adddressed the OP once and have gone out of your way to deflect to other topics.

    What’s up with that?

I can't find any information on this woman.. Jeannette says she's been executed.. other news outlets say she hasn't.

BBC news as of today says she hasn’t YET, but your great humanitarian Saudis are seeking the death penalty for the grievous crime of protesting against oppression while Shia.

And BBC is reporting this morning the execution has not been carried out YET, but that your supposed humanitarian, feminist Saudis are still seeking to kill her for being Shia and protesting her people’s oppression. Not for having hurt anyone. Not for advocating violence. Not for planning terrorist attacks. Just for peaceful protesting.

OK I have found a link about this story. The OP is not of the beheading of Esraa Al-Ghomgham who was still alive yesterday. According to the link here,
I am not sure if they are saying Badawi was executed as somewhere else they say that no Saudi woman has been beheaded

    more on Badawi

    https://www.hrw.org/news/2018/08/01/prominent-saudi-women-activists-arrested

So the OP execution was not of Esraa Al-Ghomgham. Nonetheless she her husband are among six people who the prosecution has recommended the death penalty for.

They were charged with 'anti establishment protests and incitement to disobedience of the ruler'.

Her crime was not to do with wanting to drive but to do with wanting democracy and encouraging peaceful protest and human rights.

I haven't found 'Value Walk' before so did a Media Bias on them. They come out as Centre Right and their rating for Factual Reporting was High.

The Shia in KSA are not oppressed.. They are pretty successful making up the merchant class in the Eastern Province and oil workers.. Many have been sent to the US for education in chemical engineering and other oil production related fields. About 50 years ago the SAG began investing in improved housing and infrastructure in Shia areas. (50 years ago nobody had good housing)

I don't know what the woman did.. Was she advocating regime change or what?

Sputnik News is lying.. KSA has executed many ISIS and AQ over the years. What's with your belief in Russian propaganda?

The Shi’a seem to think they are oppressed including this activist. Who knows better: the Shi’a themselves or a woman who claims to have lived in Saudis Arabia several decades ago?

No.. some Shia think they are oppressed if they don't work or go to school.. They have their share of deadbeats just like any other group. In KSA Sunni and Shia coexist very well...

I think that's true in Iran and Iraq as well. Most Shia get along fine with Sunni and vice versa.. The exceptions seem to have great difficulty.

So the answer to my question is that you think you know better what oppression the Shi’a face than the Shi’a do.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Saudi apologist Margot in full form in this thread.

And clearly an American woman who once lived in Saudi Arabia several decades ago knows better than the local people who live there now.

I have been back several times and still have many American friends in the Eastern province. .. so yes. How much do you know about Shia and their beliefs? They aren't exactly like the Ayatolla and those nutty Mullahs.

And I’m sure your American friends spend all their time in Shi’a villages and not on isolated Western housing compounds, right?

ValueWalk has a high probability of factual reporting. I don't find the same with you for KSA.

    or Margot Propaganda? :)

They are intending on killing a woman for peaceful protest and a belief in human rights. You have no problems with that?

Ah so you read Saudi Propaganda every week and are fine with the killing of women for peaceful protest and promoting human rights, I would change my news source.

I have been reading several newspapers from Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and the GCC for over 20 years. I'm not familiar with ValueWalk.. Do they have a stringer in Arabia?

I also know several Saudi editors and journalists..

    What was she protesting exactly?

Saudi Arabia has been far worse than Iran for many decades in relation to rights and religious extremism.

Saudis don't chant death to America or death to Israel.. They have a low crime rate and a welcoming attitude towards Westerners. Were you treated poorly when you were there?

Take a look at your source.

Wahhabis are not extremists.. If you knew anything about Islam or Saudi Arabia, you'd laugh at such BS.
