****ing awesome, I had no idea.

Go Hunter! It's not uncommon for artists to be troubled souls, and art is often produced out of the quagmire of the aweful, Van Gogh is a prime example. Back in the 50s, a very old woman who was said to sell pencils (as a very young woman) outside the hotel of the place where Van Gogh was living, she said he was a belligerent drunk. Not a very nice fellow. But, what art!

Art is subjective to the artist and those that appreciate it.

I do not like the piece pictured in the op but a few of the other ones shown it the gallery look more appealing to me. The one in the op looks like an old 80s album cover.

Why would one need evidence for a perfectly legal transaction? Its not like they are keeping the identity of the buyers confidential to shield any attempt to peddle influence, right?

You apparently forgot what you posted. You should go back and read it. You claimed political favors, not "a perfectly legal transaction." You do not have evidence to support your claim.

I am a random guy on the internet, so you should just trust me without question the same way you trust the artist.

Perhaps the forum needs a sarcasm font. I would never accuse him of exploiting his family name and connections to make a buck. After all, he was selling paintings for half a mil long before daddy became president, right? Also, they are fully transparent and are not concealing the identity of the buyers, right? Nothing to see here.

It obviously isn't about the art.

I'm all for taking up art and all for making a living at it. I'm fine with buying and selling the products for what most people would consider more money than common sense. I'm even OK for taking advantage of a last name or a connection to a wealthy or famous person. But I think it deserves any criticism it earns.

Where I have a problem is the use of such activity to sell influence by an elected government official. If that is happening then somebody should be fired. It is probably worth an investigation and one will probably happen after Biden is out of office.

Yea and I remember when the left/Dems were all about protecting women, and fighting sexual harassment in the work place and running sexual harassing men out of town and then came Clinton...........oops
And now comes Hunter and Joey flushing ethics down the toilet and once again...............oops...................here come the excuses and attempts to marginalize and excuse and deflect

The Biden's continue to give the public the big middle finger as they continue their influence peddling.

"""And, no, there's no indication Joe is getting any kind of share of these art sales"""
There's no indication Joe is NOT getting any kind of share of these art sales...
that is the game we play when the son of the president is allowed to sell art to unknown buyers and NO ONE is to question the sells or where or whom the money goes or comes from... and the prez and his son has joint (pun intended) bank accounts..

Dude they are doing not because Hunter is an actual artist but because they think it will get them an audience with dad. Why the hell else do you think they are keeping the names secret?

No, it’s obviously not. The timing of when the little guy decided to become an artist is strange, isn’t it? Has anyone ever talked about him being a painter prior to his old man running for president?

Evidently he is making pretty good money and producing some very nice fine art. Good for him.

I have a sneaky feeling .... just like he has never done anything himself that was not shady... I wouldn't say for sure whether he is the artist or not...

He is selling his own artwork. I heard Jack Nicholson bought some of his stuff. Jack has always been a great art collector and owns $100s of millions worth of art that he probably paid $10-15 million for over the years. If he is buying, you can bet the art is of high quality. Good for Hunter. The GOP has turned into a place full of Gossippy Old Peckerwoods. .

As long as you have a sneaky feeling, go with it. Maybe you will get that same sneaky feeling that Trump is a lying swindler too....Who knows?

I don't give a tinkers damn what you heard dude. The facts are the facts. The buyers are secret and on the other end the names of the visitors to Joe's bunker are also kept secret. The family business has been selling access to Joe almost from the moment he became a senator.

The fact is you know nothing about what his business regarding art is. But if it makes you happy, by all means keep obsessing about it. I am quite sure Hunter doesn’t give a tinkers damn about what all the Trumpers think about him or what is bantered about in their little gossip sessions. He’s probably laughing his ass off.
