Suicide a risk in stroke sufferers...
    :hmm:
Study: Many stroke survivors think about suicide
Feb 7,`13 - One in 12 stroke survivors thought about suicide or that they would be better off dead, a troubling federal survey reveals. That's more than those with other health problems such as heart attacks or cancer, and it suggests that depression after stroke is more serious than many had realized.

    Growing new blood vessels...
    :confusion:
Scientists Discover How to Grow New Blood Vessels
May 02, 2013 - Scientists have discovered how heart disease patients with dangerously blocked arteries are able to grow new blood vessels to by-pass the blockage, and keep oxygen-rich blood flowing through their bodies. The discovery is raising the possibility of new treatments for cardiac patients.

Air Pollution Linked to Artery Hardening, Increased Stroke Risk
May 02, 2013 - U.S. researchers say urban dwellers exposed to the highest levels of fine particulate air pollution had faster hardening of the arteries, putting them at increased risk of stroke, compared to people in less polluted sections of the same city. The finding adds to a growing body of evidence that residing in polluted urban areas is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

I've got one like this that I got at either Wally World or Walgreens, I forget. I've had it for over 10 years and it still works fine.

I check my BP every now and then, when I think about it. This thread reminded me so I just did and got a 124/75 reading.

I think if I was so obsessed with my BP that I was wearing a wrist monitor and checking the damn thing 24/7, that I would probably stress myself out to the point where I would have high blood pressure.

    wow- that is very interesting!
I understand too that constriction of the arteries of the kidney could cause it too. But figuring it out is a major procedure in and of itself. And things can be done open the arteries, but it does not last- so not really worth it.

Quiet Is Crucial to Your Health: The Dangers of Urban Noise
9/17/2015 | The noise is so loud, Kollyn Zeder often doesn't let the children in her home daycare play outside, worried it might damage their hearing. Windows stay shut, even though she wants fresh air. Often she can't hear her own TV. "They fly so low over the homes, you can wave to the pilots and they wave back," she said. " It's roaring, roaring, roaring."

The lady in Oceana knew when she moved to that place that jets flew there. She should have thought about it harder before buying. Also, I bet her daycare directly needs the military personnel who either fly or work on those places that fly over her house.
