afaik the limit on the gift tax is $15,000 that you can give tax-free per year now. So if you have ten family members (individuals) you want to help, it wouldn't take many years to exhaust the transfer of funds you had planned if you had only a portion of a million dollars to give.

A million dollars isn't much anymore, millionaires are very common.

I certainly would give a targeted donation to either private charity or a government sponsored program but I don't care about the level of government. It may be a local government program at the county or municipal level. It depends on what direction I go. I could see medical research with a grant at the federal level, or it could be used to fight homelessness, hunger or even drug addiction locally. heck maybe schools is the way to go.

They wouldn't let you not pay your taxes. I assumed it was $250 million after taxes.

I see you do not approve sending it to the Feds or State.

A funny term, my taxes. It is the Feds or State taxes, not your taxes.

I refuse to call Democrats liberals. They are far too authoritarian to earn that term.

Start a company developing a space elevator and/or residential solar-hydrolosis power generation.

After taking care of some friends/family of course.

Yes it is mean to criticise donors to charity, but Bill Gates is a shrewd businessman and wouldn’t miss any donations he made.

It’s a bit rough to tax you on lottery winnings.

OK, you mocked human freedom. But you must be aware of what party made a mad dash to create laws since 1933 and it was not Glenn Beck.

When you fill up the gas tank and deliver to the merchant his 50 dollars, are those still your dollars or are they his dollars.

When your boss pays you the sum of $50,000 are they his dollars?

    my taxes are an oxymoron.
