She doesn't look like the type of person who lives in a neighborhood where people are shot on corners. Maybe at one time, but not now. I used to live in one of those neighborhoods and having been there, done that I was pretty much determined not to live there again. I would bet it is the same for her. There is also this myth that all poor are urban poor or act like urban poor. While I'm not denying that there is also violence in rural areas, it is comparatively "safe". You have more violence in the suburbs than you have in rural communities across America. Not all poor people are shooting each other in mass droves. Free project housing was the worst thing to ever happen to poor people in America.
