    You are going to need to pick an avatar to go with your moniker.

    Avatar = picture.

    Moniker = name.

    Maybe a Chinese dragon would be perfect for you.

    Texan's avatar is his G/I Joe patch. You @QFTang will need something like that too.

    Maccabee's avatar is a pistol and a holy book (Tenakh).

    This is reminiscent of the fact that if the Jews of Nazi Germany had not been so pacifistic at the time then they might have been able to rise up in rebellion against Adolf and the SS rather than go to the death camps submissively.

    God did not make all men equal.

    Samuel Colt did.

    Jazz uses a cute little bunny for his avatar. You @QFTang could use a panda bear. I use a polar bear because I ski a lot and I also hunt everything that walks crawls flies or swims.

    Well with a moniker like Maccabee I did not expect you to be Christian -- here having the meaning of Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Protestant.

    I'm a Messianic Jew which is basically a Christian that do Jewish things like worship on Saturday, eat kosher, and celebrate holidays like Passover.

    Ok.

    I tried keeping all 613 commandments for a while and keeping kosher too but ultimately my love of bacon, ham, lobster, abalone, prawns, eel, etc. did not do it for me.

    I am guessing that Moses' adoptive mom (the Egyptian princess) did not have any good recipes other than for fishes with scales, calves and goats, or birds that eat grains only.

    Not to go off topic but Messianic Judaism, or at least what I believe as a Messianic Jew, doesn't require you to keep all of the commandments in order to be saved. It doesn't even require you to keep all 613 commandments. Certain commandments pertain to certain groups in certain instances.

    Whatever tastes good I will eat.

    Other than Moses' rules of eating, his other rules all make perfect sense.

    Animals should not be abused.

    Children should not be abused.

    Murderers should be executed if sufficient proof exists of their crime.

    The Chinese have a fascinating program of organ donations by murders to help them make up for the lives they have ended. By donating 2 kidneys, both halves of the liver, and the heart, a murder can save the lives of 5 people.

    Thieves and liars should be imprisoned to pay back their crimes.

    Those rules are all civic and good.

    As far as getting "saved" the best roadmap I have seen for this is in Matthew Chap 25 -- "... in as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me."
