    .. relevant to the topic.
Please try to avoid fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonesty as they will be exposed as such.

Also, some of you are on ignore for your incessant, unsupportable nonsense; if I do not respond to you, you know you made the list.

    That said - fire away!

What limits should there be on private firearms ownership?

Those able to legally own a firearm should be able to own whatever firearms they can afford, as is their right under the Constitution.
The purchase, ownership and possession of said firearms, harming no one and placing no one in a condition of clear, present and immediate danger, should be free from infringement, also as per the Constitution.

I'll be shooting an M1 carbine out on the ranch this weekend. One of my favorite guns. :)

What's your favorite weapon to fire?

How do you define "firearm" in this case?

Except the 2nd Amendment applied to cannons. They were considered firearms but they aren't portable.

Would this mean you don't support private ownership of say an M2 .50cal or a 20mm Oerlilkon?

    Irrelevant to what I said.

Machine guns are "firearms" as per the definition provided.

Within the first sentence is the qualifier "portable". Neither of those are really "portable" anymore than a cannon is.

A cannon, per the definition I provided, is not a firearm.
    An M240B is.

    9MM or .45

Me, I partial toward the 9MM mainly for the increased quantity of ammo

Why does the United States have such a high rate of firearm-related death?

45ACP, though the cost of 9mm ammo makes it look better all the time.

    Primarily? Mental illness.
Secondarily? Failure to respect the value of human life and western standards of behavior.

Then do you support mental health awareness or any initiatives that improve mental health since the end goal is the preservation of your gun rights? If so, what efforts have you made to support mental health awareness?

This is far too broad. You need to be more specific.

I'm not sure that this means -- the "end goal" of what?. Please explain.

I am not here to ask a question, but to share a story that will make you go mad and full cray-cray. Ragnar Skanåker is the name of a legenday Swedish "sports-shooter" who has won several Olympic medals and now that he is over 80 years of age, he wants to hand his gun collection to a sports museum, but due to Sweden's strict gun laws, he is not allowed to do this and has now been forced to put his collection for auction on the international market.

This is what happens when legislatures pass laws not based on reason, but fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonesty.

There are several similar stories from Sweden where hunters and even collectors get the gov on their arse.

Meanwhile, the gang member in Malmö buys a grenade on the black market and scares innocent civilians with his degenerate gang war.

    Absolutely ridiculous.
