    In his own words

We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.” -Adolf Hitler, in a speech in Berlin on 24 Oct. 1933

uncomfortable parallels between Christianity and Nazism.

To deny the influence of Christianity on Hitler and its role in World War II, means that you must ignore history and forever bar yourself from understanding the source of German anti-Semitism and how the WWII atrocities occurred.

@Guno asked me to define 'creator'. I thought i did. How you got 'assertion!' out of that is beyond me. Did you draw usfan to follow around & insult, nit pick, & harass? This is not a 'science' thread, where we submit evidence. This is a philosophical thread, where we examine the basis for our opinions or beliefs. I was not asserting anything, just clarifying a definition.

Your bizarre replies bring up a more compelling question.. why would you feel compelled to give me a shot, on something completely unrelated to anything we have ever 'debated'? Did i bloody you up, in our last engagement, so that you need to seek revenge?

..and, if you're looking to provoke me into a flame war.. don't bother. That does not interest me at all.

What I'm missing is a reason to give a damn.

None of that happened because Hitler was a Christian, that's for sure.

Absurd phony caricature.. anything to denigrate, distort, or demean Christianity. Truth & history are only tools to manipulate, to promote the propaganda narrative that is desired. Truly the anti-christian left has stooped to nazi tactics, in their hatred for Christianity.

    source

    From the man himself..
You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness? ~Adolf Hitler

I can imagine people being enthusiastic about the paradise of Mohammed, but as for the insipid paradise of the Christians! In your lifetime, you used to hear the music of Richard Wagner. After your death, it will be nothing but hallelujahs, the waving of palms, children of an age for the feeding bottle, and hoary old men. The man of the isles pays homage to the forces of nature. But Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery. ~Adolf Hitler

Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers -already, you see, the world had already fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing Christianity! -then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism [Islam], that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world. Christianity alone prevented them from doing so. ~Adolf Hitler

The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death. A slow death has something comforting about it. The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science... The instructions of a hygienic nature that most religions gave, contributed to the foundation of organized communities. The precepts ordering people to wash, to avoid certain drinks, to fast at appointed dates, to take exercise, to rise with the sun, to climb to the top of the minaret — all these were obligations invented by intelligent people. The exhortation to fight courageously is also self-explanatory. Observe, by the way, that, as a corollary, the Moslem was promised a paradise peopled with sensual girls, where wine flowed in streams — a real earthly paradise. The Christians, on the other hand, declare themselves satisfied if after their death they are allowed to sing hallelujahs! ...Christianity, of course, has reached the peak of absurdity in this respect. And that's why one day its structure will collapse. Science has already impregnated humanity. Consequently, the more Christianity clings to its dogmas, the quicker it will decline. ~Adolf Hitler

What is more intriguing to me, is the quickness that the left draws the Nazi! luger.. racist & nazi are the 2 favorite pejoratives, that they pull out in a moment's notice, in any thread, at any time, topical or not.

I guess it is part of the 'reeducation' of America. They need to be shown that christianity, not the nazis, is at the root of all evil in the world.. ignore the reformation, the enlightenment, the age of reason, & the scientific revolution.. or better yet, revise them! It is the Narrative that is important, not facts or reality.
