    And of course, how much all this matters for public health depends on how sick the virus makes us. That is the hardest prediction to make, because evolution selects for viruses that spread well, and whether that makes disease severity go up or down is mostly a matter of luck. But we do know that immunity reduces disease severity even when it doesn’t fully block infections and spread, and immunity gained from vaccination and prior infections has helped blunt the impact of the Omicron wave in many countries. Updated or improved vaccines and other measures that slow transmission remain our best strategies for handling an uncertain evolutionary future."

    Omnicron is no worse than the regular flu. It is not the purpose of our country to help the shareholders of Pfizer. This pos ceo pushing a 4th booster now and Moderna pushing vaccines for babies.



    Did not stop that racist Biden from issuing travel bans on African countries that did not have a presence of the virus did it?

    Way to miss the obvious, speed counts for a lot.

    Once this does get to the level of a flu, most will get it through their insurance. But we will need to keep it available to those that need it, and can't afford it.

    Dr. Cobey studies the interaction of immunity, virus evolution and transmission at the University of Chicago. Dr. Bloom and Dr. Starr study virus evolution at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center... you know scientists. Or to put a little differently, people that have a freaking clue..

    I know all about the science and how it changed based on the needs of the democrat party. Very little had anything to do with science. We had MDs who worked with Covid patients get their videos pulled from social media and we had idiots pushing kids into getting vaccines they did not need and forcing them to wear masks they never needed.

    Joe with a load in his pants is not my idea of science.

    Assuming your babbling is about the new vaccines, they're a lot better than the old way. They're quicker to make, easier to test for, and represent a significant advance in medicine.

    Medical science has been working towards this for a generation, knowing it would save many additional lives, and now it's here.

    Any medical treatment carries risk, but these vaccines will be fine.

    Sorry but I think I'm more qualified to speak on such matters being a nurse for over 30 years and a health science investor.

    More people died under Biden. His idea of science is getting a diaper change.

    I am not in the mood to hear bullcrap about science. This all about politics. We had doctors who treated hundreds of patients had their media pulled from Youtube, Facebook and Twitter just because they had something positive to say about Hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin.

    FYI I have been a licensed nurse since 1990. I have been giving medication to sick people for 30 years. I have been investing in bio science companies since I first bought Biogen stock in 1997. I have over a million dollars in healthcare stocks and funds.

    I have forgotten more about the science than most of you will ever know.

    Joe Biden, Al Gore and Greta the retard are not science experts. Sorry.

    Lockdowns were never needed.
    Vaccines have only been moderately helpful.
    Masks are a joke.
    Boosters are a joke. The Biden administration allowed the Pfizer booster after an FDA advisory panel overwhelming rejected it.

    Viruses that cause symptoms or kill their hosts are less likely to spread. If a person has no symptoms, they will spread the virus at a much greater rate than someone not feeling well enough to go to work.

    It is not a matter of luck. Viruses decrease in severity because of the natural response we have to them.
