Democrats believe Society made them better humans. Watching Biden go crazy hurting others is a good lesson.

Until we know about things like variants, keeping some distance and practicing basic precautions is a good idea. If you care about the health and safety of others. Which, I guess, might be a stretch.

I am not eligible for the vaccine yet and I'm still undecided. I am concerned by the problems with some of the vaccines. I also unclear on where these vaccines stand relative to the variants. Are we going to have to get an annual shot? Is wearing masks the new "normal"? Just too many unanswered questions for my liking.

Biden leaves a litter of stupid things where he acts. Sure, Democrats wanted stupid and got it in spades.

Of course they say it, and then turn around and violate the law up and down the streets. Oh, and then congratulate themselves for both. Its pretty pathetic anymore.

There are some problems with blood clots and some vaccines, but your chances of that happening are lower than getting struck by lightening. But, yes, we still don't quite know where they stand relative to the variants. Early evidence shows that you can still be infected by some variants, even after being vaccinated, but that the symptoms aren't as severe. All the more reason to keep distancing and keep wearing a mask. If people use this as an excuse to not get vaccinated when they are eligible, then we are just going to end up with even more variants. Aggressively vaccinating while still practicing distancing and masking is our best chance at making sure this doesn't become an annual thing/the new "normal." Any refusal to engage in any of these practices increased the chance that it will be an annual thing.

I understand the mechanics behind it. It's just been tough because I've already survived a vaccine injury (and it's taken decades and I still struggle with the symptoms). I also have two children and I worry about their exposure to people at school (they are still on remote learning) that could unknowingly spread the virus. Intellectually, I know the stats are in my (and their) favor. Emotionally, it feels like Russian Roulette.

I get it, to the extent that I can, given I haven't experienced it. "It's like getting struck by lightening" doesn't really help convince someone who, well, has actually been struck by lightening. I'm in the same boat with some statistically improbably things that have happened to me. And there will be people who just aren't ever going to be eligible for the vaccine. I assume the best thing to do is to keep distancing and maintaining other precautions until widespread vaccine use and other measures finally get us to herd immunity.

Oozing sanctimonious falderall wasn't part of 'How to win friends and influence people', but I can take a wild guess how someone who deems themselves better then other people will treat those who make educated and researched decisions regarding their own health, yet feel the government should implement repercussions on people who do so.

So, how do you feel about bodily sovereignty?

Listen to your gut. I have family members that have endured lifetime vaccine injuries, but when the is against a deadly disease, is a question of sensible balancing risks. My doctor, given my age and robust health, suggested I continue to live cautiously with masking/disinfecting/distancing and wait for more vaccine data. A major green flag will be FDA approval.

THE VACCINE BAD NEWS JUST KEEPS COMING: Pfizer CEO says third Covid vaccine dose likely needed within 12 months.

Where did you "learn" that? Did Biden actually say that?

Also, the word "keep" seems strange, since we are not locked up now.

    Did Democrats actually say that?

I get a feeling you are just making stuff up.

Yes, the fewer people get vaccinated, the more susceptible hosts the virus has to spread, the more likely it will be for the virus to evade vaccine protection of the host, the more likely that we will need annual covid shots, rather than being done with it in 2021. Nothing new here.

Trumpists is this thread just sound like Jim Jordan, who made an a$$ out of himself by attacking Fauci in congress:

It is a flu-like illness. It is a mild SARS variant. Nothing to fear monger over.

Half a million Americans died of other causes. Any garden variety flu or cold virus could've just as easily developed into other complications, such as pneumonia, and killed those people all the same. The presence of covid in a person's system doesn't mean that covid killed that person or that a covid infection led to that person's death.

The world hobbled itself due to its own insanity. That was not caused by covid.

    Okay. Bye.

Sounds about right... my family members that have gotten it only lost their sense of taste/smell for a while (and one had a slight cough). That's about it.

Fear mongering. Masks and social distancing do not stop viruses.

I am not eligible atm, nor do I wish to ever be. I'm concerned about rushing through this type of jab when it has never passed beyond animal trials in the past due to later-developed autoimmune issues in those tested animals. I'm concerned about the longer-term safety of this jab.

Yes. Annual at the very least (if not two or three times a year). This is, admittedly, just my own conjecture at this point, but I tend to know how the Demonkkkrat mind operates...

Yes. Again, I tend to know how the Demonkkkrat mind operates. I personally do not wear a mask around anywhere because I think it's stupid because the pores are much too large to stop viruses from going through it.

    Agreed.

Masks and social distancing help slow the spread of the virus. It's simple physics. The idea that these basic precautions are part of some sort of conspiracy? Now THAT is fear mongering.

I would be more than happy to give the finger to the type of society you want us to live in.
