I imagine one battle cry on Jan. 6 was 'Mask-ation' without representation.

Just as the battle cry of the patriots against British rule had one battle cry of 'Taxation without representation', I can imagine the battle cry of the rioters of the capitol on Jan. 6 was 'Mask-ation' without representation'…Or 'Losing of one's livelihood or liberty without representation'…Or 'A pandemic rules election without representation'.

Sure, there was representation of the patriots in the middle 1770s but that representation came from far away Britian, The Parliament. That representation' didn't come from the patriots themselves, hence, the lack of representation in the opinion of patriots...Just as the authoritarian pandemic edicts from congress and state governors came from far-away Washington DC and state capitols and not from the people.

In essence, congress and state governors didn't represent the people they were supposed to represent and therefore the capitol riot came on Jan.6…because the rioters wanted representation.

There are 535 members of congress plus the odd number of security officers bringing the total to approximately 600 people. BTW, not all congresspersons agreed with the notion of insurrection concerning the Jan.6. event.

By definition of democracy, there were more than 600 capitol protestors on Jan. 6 making the capitol hill riot a democratic event.

Bureaucrats seem to think they can assume authority not granted to them anywhere in the constitution. And when folks challenge them, it's insurrection, or sedition, blah blah... No one elected these folks. And yet, they think their authority gives them legislative and judicial power. This is what several of the founders knew would eventually be a possibility and feared a powerful centralized government that wielded these powers. It's also why the bill of rights includes both the 1,2 amendments. The right to redress, the right to defend, etc. It is also the reason for the reservation of the non explicit structures to the individuals and the states.

    WWTFD?

During the Revolutionary War, by contrast, George Washington immunized his troops against smallpox even against their will. The fearful disease killed about a third of those it infected, leaving survivors pockmarked but immune for life. Washington, who had survived the virus himself, described smallpox to Virginia’s Governor Patrick Henry as “more destructive to an Army in a Natural Way, than the Enemy’s Sword.” Infection had doomed the American assault on Quebec in 1775, and it now threatened Washington’s main force camped at Morristown, N.J.

The total American electorate is not the present day American Army or the Continental Army.

So did the US with Covid shots

Compared to Covid survival rate around 98.8%
Yet a Covid shot does not immunize you at all.
    You can still get Covid
    You can still spread Covid
You can still die from Covid

Now you're starting to get it.

They may have had a phrase, but there was no battle. They were unarmed.

Don't think there were any Jan.6 rioters arrested for insurrection. As a prosecutor, that would be ludicrous to arrest someone for insurrection with the dearth of factual information.about insurrection on Jan.6.

There are, IMO, over 80 Jan.6 rioters detained in jail in DC since Jan.6 not charged with anything. When will their trials begin? Months? Years? It appears US gov't has turned into a totalitarian gov't.
