I think I was date-raped last weekend, what should I do?

Maybe stop watching the news? I did and my life is a whole hell of a lot better for it. Not worried/paranoid or even annoyed all the time anymore because of what other people are getting up to in their lives.

While I'm at it.... I'm going to pretend that those girls in Africa weren't kidnapped and sold into sex slavery either....


meanwhile... just ignore that gays can't marry gays.... turn off the news about people who speak out against them, too

I get alone just fine ignoring most of the horrible atrocities in the world. Honestly, I don't have enough time in the day or even my own lifetime to care about every little thing that happens in the world, do you?

Go ahead, again you are not required to care nor worry about it. My mother isn't interested in politics at all and she gets along just fine. She'll read the news once in a while and make a comment about how horrible this or that was, then go along with her day like it never happened. Most people do this I think, especially people who have no access to the media.

Ignorance truly is bliss, I will tell you that much. But as I said before, there is only so much we can do or care about in our short time here on this Earth. If you want to make a difference great, more power to you, but I find that there is very little we can do as individuals.

What difference do you feel you have made with this thread if I may ask? Have you found a decrease in date-rape cases at all since this thread's creation two years ago?

You said you were annoyed with hearing women blather on about date rape, so I did the sensible thing and recommended you cut out the noise that bothers you so.

That's what I do, if I get tired of talking to people with crazy opposing viewpoints to me here I hit the X in the corner. Problem solved.

When things bother me, I tune them out. I realized I am only one person and I cannot and probably should not try to control every aspect of the world. Life will go on until the day the sun explodes and blazes over the Earth, then there will be nothing and no one left to argue.

Try to find some peace and happiness in life. If you worry too much it will overwhelm and eventually consume you. Just my two cents.
