Saw this in the 'Tiser today and thought "Spot On".

I'm all for the expression of political opinion, before you decry me as some "whinging leftist", but I agree with him in that the method in which people have chosen to express their anger seems completely at odds with how we usually handle politics.

The start of the Australian Tea Party, pehaps?

You must have missed the reconciliation walk over the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 2000, when 250,000 people walked peacefully across the bridge in protest of the Howard Government treatment of Aborigines, and in support of reconciliation.

No loophead drongos there... like now.

You are (*)(*)(*)(*) right i "missed it" i had nothing to say "sorry " for and i dont think the nation did either... but thats for a different thread.
It must really irk you leftist dingbats that you are in the minority on this issue...the country overwhelmingly wants an election and thinks the LIAR and COMMIE BOB need to be kicked out.

No surprise with the first comment.

The country overwhelmingly wants an election? I suppose when you listen to Alan Jones, that's the kind of unreal crap you hear and think. A few trucks heading for Canberra? Yeah, the country overwhelmingly wants an election. Get real. Probably shouldn't tell you to get real... on account of how you listen to Alan Jones. Quite the contradiction, that.

    So show me the overwhelm.

And I suppose the mad monk is waiting in the wings... ... oh, yeah, what was his stance on carbon tax again, efjay?

    Good grief...

If you bothered to look outside that leftist bubble you live in you would see that the MAJORITY of us are unhappy with the way the country is being run. The POLLS reflect this aswell. And its not just the carbon tax, its a whole range of issues.
but no Gwen you are right...just keep reading your cartoons and living in your bubble....

A bunch of trucks going to Canberra to demand an election - is strange. I think this particular element gets carried away thinking that if it makes A LOT OF NOISE - that that will convince / trick others (and themselves) that OVERWHELMINGLY the country wants an election. But a din of noise is just that. Noise. Hardly constructive, either.

A bunch of trucks vrrooom vrroooming on their way to Canberra does not an election maketh.

    Morelike a sideshow circus event.

How's the rightist bubble going? Good view on that side? Nice peering out through Alan Jones eyes? Must be quite the murky, dingy world through those eyes, lol.

We've gone from overwhelmingly to MAJORITY. Hilarious.

Please SHOW ME the poll that says the MAJORITY of Australains want an election.

No, don't give me the words out of Alan Jones mouth. I want to see a REPUTABLE poll.

Living in my bubble? At least it's a clear bubble, not like the grot and filth in an Alan Jones bubble. Unbelievable you listen to a grotty nasty pig of a man like that. But there ya go.
