Why does being a "Christian" automatically mean that the reason a person opposes or supports something is because of their Christianity?

There are subjects where polling numbers are significant.

For this subject, 77% of evangelicals believe abortion should be banned.

Overall, 61% believe abortion should be legal in all or most circumstances.

How much difference does reference to god make in the US Constitution?

While the Founding Fathers might have had sting Christian beliefs the specifically prohibited the Government from establishing a national religion and prohibited tests of religious belief of candidates running for Government Office. Whether people hold belief regarding things such as abortion has nothing to do with such legislation. There is no prescription in the Constitution for applying religious guidelines for crafting legislation regarding anything like abortion or LGB related irises except fundamental to the principles inherent in the Constitution is gthe a provision of the equal justice for all.

Correct. Government should not promote religion. It also should not interfere with the practice of religion

It's using the power of the state to control women, by definition..

It's a fetus, not a person, by definition.

The reason you keep trying to rewrite reality is your motivation is religious values. That is forbidden in law.

Justice is balancing competing rights and interests, and your arguments are unbalanced...

To put it a little differently, I didn't so much win as blow your arguments straight to hell.

I'm not proposing to impose ANYTHING on you.

If you don't want an abortion, fine.

If you want an abortion, fine.

GET IT? It is the anti-choicers who are attempting to force their beliefs on others.

The post I gave you showed "both ways".

What it didn't show was one group using federal law to impose their views on others.

Actually, it does not do that at all.

It only deals with the establishment of religion, and allowing free exercise.

What you just said is not in the Constitution at all.

Where you pull that from, I have absolutely no idea.

    It does not.

You have to realize, he has his own unique concept on what is in the Constitution.

Which is about 77%, of 30% of the population.

So what, around 15% of the people?

What, are you upset that 15% of the people do not agree with you?

Once again, you aren't following along.

There are a number of religious divisions.

In no way did I suggest that one category of Christian religion is the only one attempting to impose their religious beliefs on people who do not share their beliefs.

Read it? Holy hell, I quoted it.

    Here, let me try again.

Where exactly in that does it state that the Government must separate decisions from religion?

Now I had quoted the exact amendment twice. Are you going to scream that once again I did not read it?

    Does not matter.

You scream because "77% of "Evangelicals" oppose abortion.

In total, they make up less than 30% of the population.

Therefore, that is a largely insignificant minority, and does not matter. You might as well bring up that "80% of left-handed Hassidic Jews" believe the same thing.

One thing I do see from you over and over again, is that you seem to get all bent out of shape if people do not agree with your beliefs. And that 77% of less than 30% of the population seem to really bother you in this area. In total, that is around 20% of the population. That is not even half of those that oppose abortion.
