oh, and if they could use prison labor at 1.00 per hour they would use that to. The labor is worth what an American would work for, not some criminal illegal alien.

It's worth the value the employer gets from it, the person who is paying for it. As long as you have government subsidizing American workers not working........

Well they can stay in their sanctuary MS state for now, until the plant rehires them back. Or is MS going to get federal money from the blue states.

Well, i would assume that SSNs aren't the only identifying info associated with the number, right? Maybe add a few more factors to compare (name, dob, etc..).

But, I don't have a problem with teh Govt issue ID. Freely available to any and all. Plus there's your voter ID issue as well. I'm honestly curious why you couldn't tie all this to a single card with various components (drivers lic, health care (though I'm not sure how that works down there), SSN, etc..).

Consolidate a bunch of stuff into a single card. Might streamline a lot of various issues.

Well, boarder security just got a big funding boost back in Feb, which will hire 1200 new boarder patrol agents this year, plus a bunch of other support. But the security of the boarder itself is kind of immaterial depending on the quality of life any illegals who jump said boarder would have in the US. Illegals in Alabama fled when their crackdown bill went into effect. Though, the unintended consequences piled up quickly, causing them to reverse course. (http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/undocumented-workers-immigration-alabama)

I'm honestly happy to see someone on the Right, finally acknowledge that part of the problem. Either you deport everyone (to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, and a massive logistics problem), or you deport them in waves, or in sub-sections. For the ones still here, they have to eat and support themselves and their families, if they can't have access to social assistance. If not, then they need social assistance. Or they don't get anything and you have a lot of dead and dying people.

I would suggest a blanket amnesty for anyone here, but that was tried back in, what, the 80s? 90s? That didn't really work out either.

Honestly, the only real solution that would likely work is to completely shut down the US boarder to mexico for anything except commercial business. Shut down tourist/student/whatever Visas so no one can overstay, put up the walls along the boarder, and then amnesty everyone inside. It legitimizes anyone already there, so they can get on the payrolls and pay taxes and contribute to society as necessary, it shuts down the 2 avenues for illegals to get into the country, and makes it harder to just run across the boarder.

But then, is America's business and political classes willing to accept the pain that will accompany this? Higher costs for wages/automation to acclimatize the industries where Illegals were necessary (picking fruits and veggies in the sun, etc..)? It would be an epic poop-show for a while, but it would depend on the consistency of Washington to keep it up, otherwise you'll be right back where you started.

Or, alternatively, force Mexico to clean itself up. Kill off the cartels, get rid of corruption in the political and police systems, and make Mexico a place where Mexicans might want to actually stay?

But yeah, there is no easy answer to this anymore.

I agree, but there are answers.
Any employer knowingly employing illegals should result in a hefty fine and automatic jail time.
Any illegal apprehended should be deported immediately. If they have US born children they can either take the children with them, or the children can be cared for by a relative after an extensive background check of the relative, or the children can be taken into the care of CYFD until they reach the age of 18. The choice would be left to the illegal.

Americans Apply For Jobs at Mississippi Chicken Plants After ICE Raid

    The Clarion Ledger reported:

About 25 to 30 people showed up to apply for jobs at Koch Foods’ nearby poultry processing plant. Of those, about an equal number were black, white or Latino.

“This is what you’d normally see here,” said Dianne Bell, communications director for the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, of the job fair held between 9 and 11 a.m.

Dozens more showed up in response to online ads looking to hire plant workers.

The Associated Press reported that many of the people who applied to work at the Koch Foods’ plants were chicken plant veterans — mostly black and white males looking for work.

The 25-year-old [Eddie Nicholson] has worked in chicken plants before and was considering a return, but wanted to see if wages had gone up. Plants in recent years have typically paid $11 to $12 an hour, according to labor statistics, but Nicholson said he wants $15 an hour.

Like Nicholson, many who applied Monday were chicken plant veterans.

Do you have some proof of this 'discouragement'? Otherwise that's just a cop out to blame everyone but the criminal invaders. In the end its the personal responsibility of the person with the visa, nobody else. Oh I get it, personal responsibility and liberal thinking just don't get along...

If the federal government did its job and protected our border and followed up on people with visas this wouldn't be a matter for private citizens at all. Odd, how the same people who support making corporations enforce immigration laws oppose citizen militias patrolling our border. The hypocrisy of the left is appalling...

The Koch Brothers were heavily involved with the Italian intelligence bribes. ( AKA The Koch-Glitsch/Obama/Putin Crimea pipeline deal ) 789.jpg

They are Progressive elites and are hoping that they can go back to their old corrupt, "business as usual," practices under someone like Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden.

So because the government refuses to secure the border then we just say screw it when businesses here hire illegals knowingly?

This is The United States, We the People own this nation not the federal government, we are governed because we ALLOW it so. If they refuse to do their job as the federal government then that doesn't excuse us to just say screw it. Illegal immigration is an American problem not just an American government problem. Those knowingly hiring illegals are directly contributing to the problem, the only reason illegals come here is because they can live here and actually make a living by getting work. If you are an American citizen who is knowingly helping them do that then you are as big of a problem as the federal government.

I am 100% in favor of civil patrol of the border by the way. These are the sorts of things that I encourage. We pay the federal government to do it's job properly and enforce the laws that we allow Congress to pass, if they refuse to do their job then we should do it for them. This is our country, we simply pay them to run it, if they won't then we should. And in regards to illegal immigration that starts with us as American citizens pointing our fingers at those American citizens who knowingly hire illegal immigrants instead of American citizens.

Relying on the federal government to solve a problem while turning a blind eye to our fellow citizens who are directly contributing to the problem sounds a whole lot like a big reliance on government, which is a much more left wing ideology than a right one.

Its not at all that I disagree with your comments.

When the citizens are willing, and do step up-they will be labeled a nuisance or worse by the govt and law enforcement. They will be targeted and threatened by leftists with smears, doxxing, and threats of violence.

The banks will refuse to do business with them.

Perhaps they will be "red flagged".

I figured out a long time ago that people hate and dread being proven wrong or inept.

And its usually the one who brings this up that is the target, regardless of the actual intent.

This problem has been going on for well over a century. Theodore Roosevelt addressed it in 1905 in similar language as Trump. So, 120 years later, and things are still the same.

I agree that it's not always feasible for citizens to step up. I was mainly referring to the notion that business owners hiring illegal immigrants is something that we should just forgive while going after illegal immigrants. I believe that to be the complete wrong answer and that does us a disservice as Americans to not be willing to put fault on those who hire illegals. This is a problem that has been created by our federal governments lack of proper oversight and unwillingness to take action for decades. We should not just forgive Americans who take advantage of this and directly contribute to the problem. In my book they are an even bigger problem than the government refusing to secure the border. Without Americans being willing to help illegal immigrants find work then the flow of illegal immigrants here would decrease dramatically.

I've always said it, the only real illegal immigrants make the long trek here is because they know that no matter how bad their lives are in their home nations, living illegally here in America is still a better life choice, it's better because we allow it to be better. Stop allowing it to be better and the reason for coming here will be gone. That is a call to Americans themselves because the federal government is obviously not listening.

I wouldn't classify them as progressive. They are very libertarian, a position which often pushes for open borders, such as Gary Johnson last go-round.

No one is saying she wasn't illegal what's your point, she had very good fake documents. All and employer can do is check their documents and run an E-verify. Employers don't hire private investigators to track everything about the person applying for the job. They trust the government docs presented and what the government tells them if anything at all through E-verify. To be a criminal employer you have to prove they KNOWINGLY hired people here illegally.

Go ahead now and do so............................

There's stories about the HR employees of tRUMPs sending illegals back to get better fake IDs.
Criminal employers, those in the tRUMP fleet.
Do you care about those criminal employers? Do you care about any criminal employers? How about those Mississippi employers who were raided. How many are under investigation?

It's not up to me, there needs to be an investigation opened.
Do you think tRUMP will do so on his own businesses? I don't.

He's a hypocrite on this topic and his supporters turn a blind eye.
They don't care about illegals overall.

Illegal employees are abandoning their jobs in Georgia. The system is finally beginning to work for American citizens again.

I would love to see the Koch brothers frog marched into a federal penitentiary. Couple of open border globalist traitors. Absolute scum of the earth. I am on the same page as you on this.

It will never happen of course. The elites will never allow it to happen and given that our government are their puppets, our vote cannot affect this. Kind of sucks doesn't it? The elites want their cheap brown workers/consumers and that is exactly what they are going to get, the will of the citizenry is pretty much irrelevant.

Investigations are needed to gather facts.
    Something tRUMP admin hasn't done.
    It's a federal issue. A tRUMP issue.
It seems neither you nor he cares about illegal employers. Which is why illegal immigration is mostly a non issue.

If one sees illegal immigration as a problem.
The best way to curb the problem is take away the incentive. Which is to a majority, jobs.
