There aren't enough jobs as it is, and you want to continue Obama's 8 year long stagnant malaise.

Or, we could use them as guinea pigs, possibly the first benficaries, to design this "naturalization simplified" system I'm talking about. Give the old immigration system the boot, not the undocumented families.

Why is that necessary in the first place? If they came here and violated the law, then out ya go. If they voluntarily leave before being caught then they can get in line. If they get caught first then they can leave and wait the allotted time before being legally able to re-enter. Automation is putting more and more unskilled labor out of jobs why on earth would you want to make unemployment worse?

Your reply tells me that you only have one goal in mind and that's to get the voters into this country any way possible and as fast as possible.

In addition to scaring many away from the voting booth in 2018.

Like most liberals, balro can't help but think it's racism that motivates the desire to deport. So he is inherently against it regardless of how much sense it makes. Liberals see what they want to see, nor what's actually there. And they want to see racism.

It's amusing because illegal aliens aren't a race. Which pretty much makes Balto the racist.

    I consider myself a progressive...

And how did race get mixed into this? Trying to justify deportation, yet want to keep the immigration process as long as tedious as it currently is misses to hit the target dealing with the larger issue. Most of the undocumented immigrants here are well-meaning people, who simply are looking for a better life. Once in a while, you'll get a ad apple or two. And because our immigration system takes so long to make one a legal citizen, they take the dive and come here illegally. The people who are already here, put them to work to obtain a legal citizenship in construction or agriculture fields.

Some citizens are forced to rob banks because it takes them so long to make money legally.

Deportation and they do it the correct way is far better than simply letting them stay because it makes you feel better. They do not have a right to be here, it is a privileige.

They can try again when they leave. And this time, without breaking the law. Rule of law may mean nothing to the left but it's a staplemark for civilized society.

Ice has been busy since Trump got elected.

That logic doesn't make sense. I can sense the sarcasm in this.

Robbing a bank is idiotic, there are so many time-saving ways to make money legally. Yet not so many time-saving ways to obtain citizenship legally.

I don't consider America a country club. The people who are here illegally should be given a choice. English may not be their mother tongue, but they are no less human than the ICE agents are. And that choice is either apply for citizenship (and if we are smart, we will begin slashing more than half the time it takes to obtain citizenship), and put in working hours toward it, or they can leave. A fair balance needs to be struck somewhere.

There is no way to make nearly as much legally for most, as there is in robbing a bank.

The same thing applies to immigration. You see it.

This is where you are wrong. They shouldn't be given a choice. They should be forced to leave, which is what we are doing at record rates. Choice is not a right they have. It is a privilege, one they do not deserve, because they purposefully violated our laws. If they want to try again properly I encourage it.

Do you think we should allow bank robbers to continue robbing banks because of time?

Sorry, but I am still not onboard with deportation. If we really want to cut spending, we can start by stopping the funding toward ICE cold turkey. You seem to see these people as objects, as life-sucking parasites, I disagree. I see these people as human beings, and I would consider it foolish on behalf of a American to force them to go back to Mexico or whatever other country.

You can't help but assume the worst of republicans, but you are objectively wrong about what you think I believe about them.

But I genuinely do not care how you feel about it. They should be, and are, being deported at massive rates. One victory at a time. Their being here is a privilege, that they did not deserve by doing so illegally.

No, as I said, robbery is idiotic. And while I'm repeating myself, I will repeat that we would see a much more simplified immigration system, if we put as much effort into devising such a system as we do dispatching ICE agents around the country. This is not hard to grasp.

They are breaking the law. Their punishment for doing so is getting deported.

Why do we need more people when blue collar jobs are already being replaced with automation?

And any real American would be horrified at those numbers.
These are not victories, you have convinced yourself these are victories, but they are not. It's simply a quick-fix solution to make it look like progress is being made on an issue, where progress in actuality, is not being made.

I think the choices I gave are very reasonable. Work these physically demanding jobs toward citizenship, or be escorted out the door. America is not a Manhattan nightclub where if your name isn't on the list, you are pushed away. That's not America.

It is absolutely a victory. Getting rid of people who do not deserve to be here. They have no respect for our laws nor desire to assimilate.

If they want in they gave to do it the proper way or face deportation. It is the right thing to do. And I'm happy to see we have a president making this happen.
