That's a good strategy and an interesting point. When I was an undergrad, some religious nut would stand on campus and talk about how gays are sinners, etc. etc., and groups of students would stand around and try refuting him. I think the best way to deal with those hecklers is to just completely ignore them, pretend they aren't even there. They thrive on attention, and they need to just be completely ignored.

Iceland certainly doesnt lead the way in ethical banking practices, what with the collapse of all their major banks due to Fraud.

They kind of do, since they arrested bankers and let their banks go to the wall.

considering the scale of the collapse it was the only thing to do, otherwise run the risk of the most corrupt nation on earth. who wants that status?

I heard a humorous idea on the TV show "The West Wing".

A gay Republican, trying to make a case for being in a GOP that was virulently anti-gay rights, said that liberal believers in gun control should...

    join the NRA.

And in doing so, they would have a vote on the NRA leadership....and its agenda....and thus simply "vote out" those who want totally unrestricted weapons in the US.
