This won't be an issue. If Trump loses, he will resign and President Pence will pardon him for his many alleged federal crimes. Of course, he will still be vulnerable to state prosecution and civil lawsuits, so ultimately he may need to leave the country after all. I expect if he loses, he will spend all his time from November 4th till he resigns on, say January 10 to gather files and gather information to trade to Putin for asylum in Russia. Perhaps if he gathers enough of our secrets, Putin will let him build the Trump Tower he has wanted in Moscow. And if you don' think Trump and Putin would do this, you have not been paying attention for the last four years.
