If doctors could prescribe HCQ, 'we wouldn't need the lockdowns'

Were doctors free to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine, 'we wouldn't need the lockdowns'

    23/09/2020

Hydroxychloroquine is a lawful drug which “doctors have been able to prescribe for over 60 years” yet bureaucrats have stepped in and overridden the ability of Australian doctors to prescribe it to their patients, says Liberal MP Craig Kelly.

“This is the most insane thing that I’ve ever seen in my life,” Mr Kelly told Sky News host Alan Jones

“The evidence is now overwhelming; it rolls in day after day after day.”

Mr Craig said in the last 24 hours, a peer reviewed study published in the Lancet said “overall mortality was lower in the hydroxychloroquine group than in the group that didn’t receive hydroxychloroquine.”

“Yet we still have this ban preventing Australian doctors from prescribing this drug to their sick COVID patients,” he said.

“With the weight of evidence going on, anyone who tells you that hydroxychloroquine, there is no evidence for it, or it’s dangerous, is either lying or they’re a fool.”

Mr Kelly said "if these bureaucrats get out of the way and give the freedom back to the doctors" to prescribe hydroxychloroquine again, we wouldn’t need the lockdowns and we wouldn’t have “all the pain and suffering we are seeing around the nations”.

Mr Jones added “people are dying as a result of the ban in this country".

Craig Kelly and Alan “ I left my brains in a matchbox” Jones:roll:

talk about your prime examples of mononeuronis asynapsis - and for anyone not in the medical field that means one brain cell unconnected to anything

Mate I tell you what - ring around sooner or later you will find a doc willing to prescribe HCQ because there IS always one. Get him/her to write it up for you and take as muuuuuch as you like. Just do us a favour - when you get your heart palpations or your eyesight starts sliding toward permanent blindness don’t come expecting the medical field to fix you up because there is no cure

I love how these complete and utter TWONKS (Twits With Opinions but NO KNowledge) have such wonderful evidence that seemingly is NOT available to the medical profession.

Alan “Can’t find my own arse with an atlas” Jones would not recognise a scientific paper if it bit him on said arse

I 100% agree, the lockdowns, especially Victoria should have been lifted long ago. Daniel Andrews MUST resign, as he will eventually be forced to do when tens of thousands (perhaps even hundreds of thousands) of Victorians find themselves jobless and homeless, unable to pay the mortgage.

    Complete bunkum!

Clinical trials show Hydroxychloroquine is 'safe' with no reported toxicity

Hydroxychloroquine therapy started with an early report out of France that it seemed to be a somewhat effective treatment for some patients. A week later, Donald Trump mentioned hydroxychloroquine as a possible treatment and ever since hydroxychloroquine has been on the same plane with pedophilia as far as media sentiments.

I agree with you and it is amazing. It was known before the French Dr tried it though. It was found to be helpful for the Sars one so straight away countries like China and South Korea started using it and it was shown in tests to be safe. I think it was from there that the French Dr got the idea. What was crazy was that when they did so called tests they kept doing it at the wrong time. It is supposed to be an antiviral which had to be given as early as possible but they were testing it on people on ventilators and then there was one which did do it at the right time but gave people a massive dose, far more than was good for them and it too was not seen to be helpful. I think there has now been at least one test which was done at the right time, in the right dose, with Zinc and antibiotics as well which showed it to be effective.

I just don't get why there was this response to Trump. Some people have suggested that it might be because it was so cheap and the one the US were promoting, the R one was very expensive and frankly did not do too much. One day the truth may out. ;)

IDK. People are whipped into such an emotional frenzy everything with Trump is a reflect acceptance/rejection without looking at the issue on their merits. As with most politicians, there have been a few things I agreed with and many I did not. I do, however, believe it is very much about money. There is no interest in fixing anything on the cheap.

For heavens sake! Panadol is 'safe' for humans to consume in measured doses, that doesn't mean its an effective treatment for COVID!

So your a medical practitioner? You know exactly how much of a specific drug needs to be administered to a patient suffering for a viral infection and exactly when and in what dosages it needs to be administered? I mean if one positive result is all it takes then by all mean go right ahead. After all not every expectant mother who took Thalidomide for morning sickness gave birth to babies with deformities. If it works in ONE SINGLE CASE it must be the 'go to' cure for what ails you, so go right ahead. Who needs consistent, scientifically valid trials.

Like it or not HLC with Zinc and with the antibiotic have worked effectively for many countries around the world. The US did not do any genuine trials on HLC. If you want to know if something works, you do not give it at a time when the patient would not benefit from it. Nor would you give it in such a large dose that that made the people ill. China had already done tests on it with reference to Sars 1 which is why they and other countries immidiately started using it. It was a false study in the Lancet, admitted to being corrupt by those who put it in, which gave rise to the propaganda in the West that it did not work and it being taken off acceptable drugs.

My information comes from taking the time to listen to people who have looked into this properly and my own experience following things up, like the Lancet article rather than just listening to the propaganda they give and believing whoever says what your 'group' thinks is right and anyone else should go to hell. I was also fortunate in finding a scientist to listen to, who was not fixated on politics but the science. He was screaming wear masks when Fauci was still pretending they were no use. That did not stop him noting how helpful HLC was and how it was being used in countries like China and South Korea as an antiviral right from the beginning. Not everything Trump says is wrong.

Bowerbird, unfortunately throwing scientific evidence at these people doesn't change their beliefs. It's like a cult or a conspiracy theory. The only way to change it would be to say "a new study found that hydroxychloroquine contains a nanochip that goes to your brain and makes you a slave of Bill Gages and George Soros and is activated through the 5G network."

"Were doctors free to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine, 'we wouldn't need the lockdowns'"

Trump did not choose Hydroxychloroquine when his life was on the line, why would anyone?

Trump chose the drug derived from aborted fetuses, he says it made him feel 20 years younger

From the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners - An Article Titled: 'Do not use use HLC for COVID' (but hey what do they know? Their just Doctors!)

    https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/do-not-use-hydroxychloroquine-for-covid-national-t

In summery, 'The pooled results show the drug does not reduce mortality, or shorten the amount of time a sick person spends in hospital. It also exposes them to side effects including cardiac toxicity.’

As for Trump? No, not everything he says is wrong. Some of his policy decisions (some) have born positive fruit, if not the majority of them. However when it comes to COVID he has 'flip flopped' so many times on treatments, how serious the disease is and what the Health Guidelines should be etc that virtually any pronouncement he now makes has become meaningless. He's adopted so many contrary positions on the topic that people don't know what he believes and I don't think he knows either. Which is NOT the hallmark of a great leader in a time of crisis. Also as noted by others - he didn't use it. So.....?

So you're accusing the doctor of lying. Why would he risk his career and reputation like that?
