Yes, because the Brady Bill was totally like slavery. Do you see how ridiculous your position is?

The best reason to oppose gun laws is because lefties want them. The radical left should be opposed ar every turn.

    So no gun bans.

With a government that acts in a lawless manner so often, it would seem the reality is that we already have anarchy.

Then it might as well be the Chicom/Soviet constitution.
Hey, don't sell yerself short: you're also more law-abiding than the Founders.

When the RW passed and cheered the passing of the Patriot Act, they lost any say in what can or can't be taken away in the case of rights.
Hypocrisy is not a way to run the country.

The Patriot Act and the Quiet Death of the US Bill of Rights
With the stroke of an autopen from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, the once articulate critic of the Patriot Act signed a four year extension of the most dangerous assault on American civil liberties in US history without a single additional privacy protection.

Agreed. And not just gun laws. Any weapon. The constitution imposes no limits to any arms, AFAIK.
All limits are imposed by society.
IE, most everyone agrees to some form of limits on rights.

See my earlier post on PA.
It applies to guns. Which should be arms. Not just guns.

If the government says you don't need a gun, you really need a gun, and need it now.

If you were alive after the Dred Scott decision by the SCOTUS, would you return a runaway slave to it's owner?

Yeh, I’ve never been a fan of the Patriot Act no matter what party has the White House or the Legislative branch.

It was pavement on the road to hades.

Agree. They are pretty much non existent at this point. Makes it easier for them to violate the few rights we have shreds of left.

You mean like the Founders? That is exactly why we have a 2A, it isn't about duck hunting.

    https://www.buckeyefirearms.org/gun-quotations-founding-fathers

One of many from that link, this is by Joseph Story, SCOTUS justice appointed by James Madison, called the 'Father of the Constitution':

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them."
    - Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, 1833

    Irrelevant.

We have our hands full in Afghanistan with a bunch of savages with AKs and homemade bombs.

Absolutely. And no admin, and for good reason, has rolled back the PA. We The People, gave the gov't the power to secretly spy on US citizens.
But, no one seems to care. Well, tRUMP complained he was spied upon, but he hasn't rolled back the laws that allowed that to possibly happen. I guess he enjoys the same spy capability.

Witness the recent Deep State soft coup attempt to disenfranchise 63,000,000 Trump voters because they didn't like the election outcome. We need the 2A today more than ever.

Guess what, 250 yrs later, our gov't now has tanks, nukes, bombers, and a whole host of arsenal that didn't exist 250 yrs ago.
Your AR will not thwart a gov't serious about attacking it's citizens. Like that is a big concern in the 1st place.

It's RW fodder, IMO, to scare them.

Now, I don't want guns removed. I enjoy hunting and prefer a gun. Although, I have had good success with a crossbow.

Once WE THE PEOPLE relinquish power to the gov't. The people will never get it back.

On the gun issue, guns, in whole, will never be taken away. Limits, yes. Types of guns, perhaps.
    But never in whole.

Really?.....you want to talk about the right hypothetically ignoring laws?

The left has set the precedent of ignoring laws they disagree with (immigration and 1st amendment come to mind).

It is funny how you are giddy over something that won't happen but ignore your own sides blatant disregard for the law.

As I said above, we have our hands full in Afghanistan with a bunch of savages with AKs and homemade bombs, despite our nukes, bombers etc.

Nice to know you think the Founders were RW.

Exactly, if there are Sanctuary Cities against immigration laws we can do the same with bad gun laws.

And not one of the other eight socialist or the senile one challenged the wannabe Mexican.

So Beto was likely talking for all of the other candidates.

So what have we learned during the past three Democratic debates ?

All illegal aliens should get free healthcare.

America should denounce its sovereignty and have open borders.

With a Democrat aka socialist in the White House, they will be coming after your AR-15's and AK-47's.
