To meaningfully answer this question you have to look at the augment for not allowing felons to have guns.

 

Don't try to talk sense to the gun control liberals.

Defending thugs is a cornerstone of their belief system.

It's not their fault, really.
They had a bad upbringing.
They had no other choices.
They didn't get enough entitlements.
The easy availability of guns made them do it.

In my state, there's a size limit on knives convicted felons can have.

 

You know, as a 2x felon, none of my crimes violent, OR weapons related, I've always wondered why it's such an issue. Sure, I've carried.... (may still do so, when I visit my old hood) but I've never used a firearm in an illegal way.....

 

US laws on knives are far more convoluted patchwork of insanity than for guns.
