If liberals are smart and highly educated ---- why this

If liberals are as highly educated and smart as they say they are, why do the support socialism. It always ends up in failure.

As they say doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is not very bright.

 

Because socialism, or rather quasi socialist talking points, draped over good old theft from one's fellow man, provides for their immoral gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex honey pots.

BTW, they are neither smarter nor more educated, the opposite is the case. They have more junk degrees in junk from junk places because they get paid more to have them. That's neither smarter nor more educated, just ripping off the taxpayer.

They're smart enough to understand that it's a scam that sells well with stupid people. They use this to gain power and wealth. You'll notice that the higher-ups in socialist societies end up ridiculously wealthy. All of the "smart" liberals who want socialism assume they will end up on the top.

 

Socialism looks better on paper to those stuck in the high school popularity contest. They like to run with the heard, and socialism is all about the heard. Socialism provides the moral justification for true, pure democracy (mob rule) under the pretense that 'anything for the greater good is good' (including the oppression or elimination of those not working towards the greater good, ie- individuals). Ultimately, its the desire for a collective, a hive, a single big 'clique' where everyone acts, thinks, moves and *is* the same. Theres no need for tolerance, competition, or even self control once the hive is established. Everyone can just be and do what they want without judgement, because the only ones left will essentially be a single, unified entity.

Its a rejection of the soul, imo.

Proof positive that one is mentally ill is when they do the same thing over and over and expect different results. It is a collective illness amongst the moonbats of the extreme left that has infected saner moderate liberals and is growing like a cancer. Socialism is a perverse political philosophy that requires a belief in fairytales. The end game of all socialism is always a brutal dictatorship, socialism is the shiney veneer of a something dark and evil. That has been the case every single time it's been tried since the crackpots Marx and Engels started peddling this crap.

 

Liberals like Tim Cook, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates ... they support success. I'm afraid you're not very special.

None of the pure "isms" work anywhere but on the chalk-board. Pure Communism (never had it, never will) Pure Socialism (most devolve into dictatorships) Pure Capitalism (If it ever existed, it would devolve into Oligarchy, and eventually Monarchy).

There are a few hybrids; the US has been fairly successful as a hybrid capitalists/socialist country, Sweden and Norway have been reasonably successful, Germany's economy is fairly strong with a hybrid of socialism and capitalism. China has some legs as communist/capitalist/oligarchy.
Britain's system of ever-changing capitalists/socialists blend has lasted.

I don't know many progressives who would support pure socialism. Most seem to lean toward the northern European model of Germany, Norway, Sweden.

Boomers... hate socialism but love their Social Security and Medicare.

 

Well social security is the money we paid in from our paychecks so it is our money. Medicare is health insurance.

 

Where they teach cut downs, taunts and insults? He seems not cut of that material.

No.

 

You'd be amazed how many American farmers, ranchers, and businessmen loathe the concept, while accepting the subsidies, tax write-offs, and low interest loans and programs based on socialist concepts. But those aren't hand-outs or giveaways that produce dependency, unless they find out that theirs is going to be slashed.

Then its time for some serious whining. But they need those subsidies, low interest loans, and programs to stay afloat, and survive the big bad mean global marketplace.

 

It hasn't always been a failure. Look at European healthcare, it costs 1/3 of US healthcare and covers the entire population at the cost of US Medicare and Medicaid which cover only 30%. Also many of these socialist countries rate as having the best quality of life in the world, many of them in the US. This is thanks to lower income inequality, spending less on war and more on society, free college, better education for kids, universal healthcare, a stronger social safety net, more alternative energy and better environment, and a higher minimum wage.

Their problems are higher taxes on the rich and middle class, over-regulation of businesses, weaker foreign policy, less capitalism, innovation and technological advancement, less overall wealth and productivity, higher unemployment, a Muslim immigration problem, and slower economic growth.

 

uh, I would have preferred to have invested the money Social Security confiscated from me and no medicare for me and mine we use a saner concierge medical provider and I will continue to do so after I retire.
