If places like California are completely locked down, then where are people catching COVID?

Yes. He was elected in 2014, re-elected 2018. As long as his term keeps ending in mid-term years not general election years, which it will, then he'll just keep "Winning and winning!" LOL

Plus, the only challengers are also Liberals here. So there's that.

Right. The president has no authority to either force states to close down or force states to keep their economies open.

Biden is going to "ask" Americans to wear masks for his first 100 days in office. Even that is just a request. He cannot mandate it. Individual state's can.

Well then the conservative commentators that I've heard are giving Trump credit for nothing, because he was doing the only thing that he COULD do. So what are Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) talking about when they talk about the need for a "NATIONAL response?" To me that sounds like control from the top.

Democrats are authoritarian. They think they should run every aspect of our lives at the federal level. That's why they're always calling to usurp power and nationalize everything they can possibly imagine. They make such a mess of every single thing they touch, I can't imagine handing them responsibility for healthcare.

Yes, but from what you're saying, it wouldn't be possible for them to do, just like it wasn't possible for Trump to do.

Right. They don't have the authority, as much as they may want it.

By what authority can individual states mandate the wearing of masks or other items of clothing? Given that there is no evidence that mask wearing stops airborne transmission of virus?

In Kalifornia? Really? LA county has one of the most insular demographics in the nation. And yet... well, their numbers speak for themselves. Do you suppose that when folks like Newsome or Garcetti jet around town, maskless, wining and dining their way through the lockdown that somehow, they are "trump mentality"? Gosh. the revelation....

When we elected lawmakers, we give them the power of legal authority over us. We hope they write rules and laws which make sense. Unfortunately, here we are today with a whole steaming pile of questionable regulations without any confirmed scientific basis for the existence of those restrictions except for the apparent "Because we can" thinking from our overlords.

    Yes, but...

Yes we give them the power to write laws, but those laws must comport with the founding document. Usurpation of power as we have seen in the last 12 months is not allowed.

LOL.. a voice absent.... haunted?... Now, tell us again why in LA, the elite don't seem to have to follow their own rules, and when you call them out as "Trumpians" as the other poster did, this is what we get. Laughable. And when it comes to pass that democrats are so servile, so programmed for their responses, this is what we get.

I'm not sure what you mean "not allowed" because it is happening. If I don't wear a mask in indoor places in Texas, I could get a fine. People in states who are quarantined for 2-weeks for a bogus "positive" with no symptoms can get fined.

Now, we can agree that some of the current oppressive and senseless Covid "rules" are unconstitutional. Then we are merely left with our response. People need to start bringing lawsuits against the city, county or state either individually or as class-action suits. The only other alternative is non-compliance, in which case, people will still get legal penalties in fines or possibly be jailed.

We are in complete agreement that it is happening, in violation of the law. Small comfort that courts in Michigan and PA have acknowledged that.

Until there is mass civil disobedience, it will continue.

I just signed up with a new group, Florida Unites Against Masked Insanity. It is organizing only recently. What I really like is that it is headed up by Sibel Edmonds, maybe the most fascinating woman I'm aware of. I read her book "Classified Woman" years ago. It's really an incredible story. It's a wonder she is still alive.

Well, it seems we saw that mass civil disobedience will get media support (or blinders) when the "cause" supports and advances the plans of the oppressors, but mass civil disobedience gets demonized from media if it goes against the goals of The Ruling Elite. I think more lawsuits should be the first option.

Hmm.. So, no answer for the do as I say, not as I do.... shocking. So every time, going forward, we see the hypocrites that are the democratic leadership, we'll forever now refer to them in the way that you have. Trumpian... That should make you feel the warmth of your attribution.

Yeah, I doubt that but, since you appear certain...

Show me one city or town in the USA where I am not allowed out of my house for any reason because of COVID "lockdowns" and where, if I were to leave my house, I would be imprisoned.

    Just 1.

    You can do it.
    And by that I mean
    YOU CAN'T DO IT!

You're assuming that it's only a lockdown if you're not allowed out of your house for any reason.
