Life itself has long term complications that ALWAYS result sooner or later in DEATH. I have recently developed sciatica, and while it won't kill me, something else eventually will.

The Covid Crisis, Operation Covid to put it into military terms, is a created crisis meant to scare hell out of everybody and provide profits to Big Pharma and special interests.

It's more a matter of it being a media-fueled frenzy of panic being used as a cudgel to beat the political opponents of the left.

Committing national suicide with a 99.9x survival rate is high stupidity.

We are on the same page with Elon Musk. He noted last month that the social and government reaction to covid has 'greatly diminished my faith in mankind'. I could not agree more.

of course they want that crap, and their savings replenished by the gov while they sit at home and have others do the dirty work for them.
Many of the maskholes on this forum are recent retirees who want a nice long life made possible by the suffering of others, with their 401Ks replenished by the endless creation of currency via the FED, which preferentially hurts those who have a long way to go before retirement.

As the number of Covid-19 cases rise we will see an even bigger hit to the economy. Covid-19 makes us all damned if we do or damned if we don't. Do you think people who have Covid-19 should continue to work if they can?

they would rather that millions suffer for their benefit than they face a tiny risk of suffering for the benefit of millions.
The classic selfish boomers who have sold our country's future for their own financial benefit, and raised two generations of helpless babies in the process.
Now they want others to suffer so they can sit around and collect, uninterrupted, while others take the risk to deliver them goods and services in the comfort of their own homes.

Those folks like me and my wife who are retired have a greater chance of dying from Covid-19 than younger folks. I'm sorry you and many others are caught up in a catch 22.

Of the several dozens of people I know who've had the infection, the vast majority are still working at productive jobs. A few of the older ones were retired anyway when they caught it, and not much has changed for them. The solid consensus is that it's just like the flu.

Should people who've had the flu continue to work?

are millions having their lives ruined not a concern to you ?
Life on this planet has always been a battle of survival, made possible by the sweat of the brow, only now you think we can survive without working. Gonna crawl in a hole and die because a virus might get you. Pathetic

you crawl in your hole and leave the rest of us alone.

The proof is all around you sir, but you would rather not examine it.

Take 1 hour and 15 minutes of your time to inform yourself--watch Plandemic II at ISE.media

what good does your "sorry" do for millions of people who are being crushed economically ?
Why don't you give up a huge chunk of your retirement in a show of solidarity for the people you are asking to be crushed for your perceived safety?
Or is this just a one way street, others suffering for your benefit?

First there is a difference between having a virus and who had the virus. When it comes to flu absolutely those folks should go back to work after getting over the flu. But they should stay home if they have it. The flu is different because we have had a vaccine for many and know it is safe. We don't know much about Covid-19, but unlike the flu we are learning that even folks who have no symptoms but are positive can still spread the virus. And this virus spreads much faster than the flu and it has proven to be active in all 4 seasons. I am truly sorry for the folks who are suffering the most due to the negative effects on the economy. Have we ever seen the flu stay active in all seasons, and that it is effecting the entire world, both souther and northern hemispere where seasons are reversed? We are dealing with a virus that already has mutated once. Is it possible it will mutate again leaving the vaccine useless? Even a flu vaccine only protects against flu strains scientist are aware of and not new strains that develop after the vaccine is produced and distributed. Your view of this virus is seen only through an economic perspective. Everyday we are seeing a new high.

I have zero control over what governments do. I can only offer my opinion from an older person's perspective. Every generation goes through difficult times but even this shall pass eventually. If you are still of working age you will have time to get back on your feet. Sorry I can't offer more.

you can take out a huge chunk of your retirement and give it to families being crushed.
Cuz that's what you're doing to them, ripping away a huge chunk of their retirement.

So people who aren't working will die? Is that what you are saying? I do not believe that is the story of human existence but it would a pretty good catch phrase.

Again, I am not sure how I am effecting other folks with just my opinion? I have no say in what governments do, cuz.

so as suspected, you want others to do the suffering but you don't want to suffer with them.

People who have COVID should quarantine for two weeks, and then go back to work
So then your should take personal responsibility for your health, and isolate yourself, and you shouldn't expect younger folks to sacrifice their futures to make you slightly safer. That's a very selfish thing to expect, or even demand.
Your sympathy is of very little value to anyone dealing with the economic hardship of lockdowns. It's pretty much worthless.

Whining like you are doing is what's pathetic. My wife and I still need to go out shopping and go to our medical appointments which I am sure is more ofter than you due to our age. We may not have money concerns but we sure do have our health concerns and many of our doctors are not seeing patients. My dentist closed his business and moved to the US. I hope he will be back but who knows? Our economy here in Puerto Rico has never been very good for years but folks here manage to get by on very little.
