I carry a Kimber Micro 9 in a kydex IWB holster. Emma has Truglo TFX sights and aftermarket SGM G10 grips.

My wife had trouble with limp wristing with her EZ .380. We sold it and she bought a Kimber Micro 9 after shooting mine. She has a Bersa Thunder + in .380 and a Ruger Security 9.

I carry a S and W 380 EZ on my waist. I'm 69 y.o. so I find this gun to be very easy to ****.

I carry my late father's Colt .380 Government Model in a Noriega holster. Noriega is a local company owned by a local police officer.

Dad changed the grips to these wood ones...

I have a pair of MP shields that are my everyday carries. I also can't carry inside of work, so one is in the console of the commuter car all the time. The other is on my hip when not at or commuting to or from work. I think a Bear tactical is my latest inside waist holster, I have more than 4 holsters.
I also have a Ruger LCP, If I am wearing like basketballs shorts and I tee shirt I'll carry the LCP in a pocket holster. The wife carries a S & W featherweight .38 or her Kimber .380.

My BIL has carried a 1911 in 45 ACP for decades, then got a Sig 365 in the last year and now he carries that.

380, shirt pocket, I always have it. Have another, 45 Springfield, custom jackass rig, can carry 3 mags so has to balance out the pistol's weight, for a total of 52 rounds, almost never carry it.. it's heavy, and it's my nightstand arm.

I have several EDCs, my choice usually depending on factors such as my cover attire, what others might be wearing (summer / winter) where I might be expected to be, what activity I will be doing, and a few other almost unconscious considerations. But almost any where I am I carry NAA PUG, often as backup, slipped in my front pocket or in my wallet pocket covered by my wallet (Not a fat wallet type).
I have done some pretty extensive testing with simunition. I can distract, draw and fire two head shots before someone holding a gun on me can react (obviously distance to the target; closer the better, is important).
In the 80’s I used the same strategy, though, with a knife rather than the PUG, and was able to thwart a mugging by knife in New Orleans.
The PUG might be the ultimate mouse gun, but there are situations where...

A while back, when I working on becoming a NRA Training Consular, that is a person who is qualified to certify others, after they have successfully taken and passed a prescribed NRA instructors training course, to become certified NRA firearms instructors, my coach taught me something very interesting when it comes to self defense.

What he came up with was a plan to execute if you ever found yourself held at gunpoint, his tactic was look through the person holding the gun and announce "he has a gun grab it."

I experimented with the practice for a few months using some of my students and a few LEO's I knew having them play the bad guy, and it actually worked, excepting a single HPD LEO who already knew the drill, everyone else turned around to see who was behind them, giving me time to draw and shoot them.

Years back while working that experiment I literally had one LEO who fell for that tactic comment to me "I'm glad you are on our side, because you could be a very dangerous person if you ever crossed over the line," that was back before the term "Thin Blue Line" was coined, at the time one was either on the correct side or the criminal side of the line, there was no grey area, unless one was on the correct side and working the other side for intelligence to build a package for a bust.

This really should be a picture thread. I bought some new grips for my Kimber. I'll post pictures when they arrive in about 2-3 weeks. That's a cool thing about 1911 related guns. You can get new grip panels and it's almost like getting a new gun for a fraction of the price and you can always go back to the original grips.

Those are beautiful guns. Sig Sauer and Kimber both sell "copies" of them. Even my Micro 9 is a variation of the Colt .380 Mustang. After a second look, is the Government model bigger than the Mustang?

Very nice looking furniture you have on that firearm, I like rubber type stocks for a good grip, but wood is beautiful looking.

Sadly for me here in SW Florida my sweat ruins wood.

My grips on order are my first wood grips. Hopefully, the coating will be enough to protect it. I carry stainless guns exclusively for the same reason.

The lovely Mrs. Texan just received her new grips for her EDC. I should have dusted off the holster lint.
