You might want to call your bank and help the government prevent identity theft. Your information might have been stolen.

"Right-wing social network Parler was taken offline in the early hours of Monday morning, but not before hackers found a way to download all data posted by users — including messages, images, videos, and users’ location data — shared during last week’s attack on the Capitol."

Hackers are looking at personal information and using it to identify people during the Capital Hill Coup. But that's not the worst part.

"Moreover, Parler encourages users to hand over more identifying information than Facebook or Twitter. Users could previously upload identification – such as a drivers’ license – to the site in order to receive a “verified real person” badge, similar to Twitter’s blue tick. "

We don't know how many people did this, but I'm willing to bet it is a lot of people.

As best I can understand what happened; hackers figured out what companies Parler was using for security. And they learned that security had lapsed, meaning when people reset their passwords they reset passwords for the administrators. They then inserted code that created a loop to take data. As one friend put it: "it's like making keys to a house because someone told you where the spare keys were. They then made infinite copies of those keys, and you can't prove the intruder doesn't live there." Since so much planning for the violence on Capital Hill was planned on Parler, LEOs are using this information to track people down and arrest them. Plus a whole host of vigilante justice that will come out of this. Oh how fun.

But if you did sign up for Parler? Good luck. I hope your info wasn't hacked. But it was. I recommend you look into this:
