Gee, I've been waiting seven years for the left to finish:
"By fundamentally transforming the U.S. we mean......"

I voted Republican in this midterm election because I'm not a leftist or a socialist and have hope for America. I voted Republican because I hope to see the U.S. return to the government described in the Constitution with checks and balances and not with a megalomaniac in Washington saying he'll rule without Congress. I voted Republican because I'm not a racist and do not wish to see the federal government promoting racism in America. I voted Republican so Americans might have opportunities to work that are better welfare. I do not want to see Americans freed of the drudgery of work at the workers' expense. I voted Republican so our government would support our allies instead of our enemies.

I'm sure I have more reasons but the bottom line is, there is not one, single, solitary reason I should vote for a Democrat. Not one.

Why so you can pick apart their reasons for voting the way they did?

Most voters vote they way they do because they are misinformed or for silly reasons. Liberal voters are just as stupid as conservative voters.

#1 Because there was no reason not to.
#2 To see crushed and deafeted liberals like you make crybaby threads
#3 Because Congress needs to put Obama in his place.
#4 Because America needs to quit sucking under liberalism
    #5 Because it felt good.

That is the best excuse you have for not answering a simple question, wouldn't it have been better to simply ignore the thread if you had no actual reasons to vote Republican.

Oh, you give them way too much credit. The big problem for leftists is they only know other leftists so they assume everyone is a fool.

Ahhh, now I see why so many do not want to answer the questions. My apologies CircleBird, now I understand, you knew it would be embarrassing for the Cons if they actually attempted to express themselves, not to worry we are all used to by now.

The only Republican agenda was to "get" Obama...they finally did....now ask the question :
What are the Republican's OTHER agendas/platform/plans/ideas/proposals....and you will get no answers because there never were any..

I didn't ask you why you didn't vote Democrat. I asked why you voted Republican. What about their agenda was appealing to you? Not raising the minimum wage? Which one was it?

    1. Because they represent a constituency that does not approve of the Obama administration's agenda, methods, or intentions.]

    2. Because as inept as they have been in the past, they have done less harm that the Obama administration, aided and abetted by a Democratic congress/senate have done.

    3. Because there is at least hope that they learned enough that they will be inspired to be more competent and effective.

    4. Because the country is going to hell in a hand basket, and they couldn't possible hurry that along any more than those who have been in power have done.

    5. Because I believe in the founding principles that made this country the greatest nation that has ever existed, and at least some Republicans say they also believe in those principles. None of the Democrats are saying that.

    There agenda did not matter.

It was a vote against the liberal agenda.

The top priority was to stop the liberals and their destruction of America, now we can work on ways to fix it. If the republicans can come up with nothing then we will boot those out and repeat the process until we get a group in that can do something positive.

Having BO as POTUS is like having a cancerous tumor in your body.

The first agenda would be to stop the growth of the malignant thing.

    Second is to remove it.

You see, when you have a bad thing going on like Obama/cancer, you focus your attention on the worst threat.

Kodos to you, you are the first one that has managed to post a well thought out and coherent reply to the original question. I knew if we waited long enough we would find at least one Conservative with some actual thought processes. That really is meant as a compliment on your post. I do not agree 100% nor do I disagree 100% with what you stated but was impressed that someone managed to get it done.

It's pretty tough to top two unpaid wars and a collapsed global economy.. along with erosion of privacy rights.... Obama must reaaaaaaaaaaaalllly be evil.

Considering my answer to #2 and #3.. I don't know how one comes to this conclusion.

Which principles are those? That all white Christian men are created equal? :hmm:

    We have plenty of ideas.

    1) Eliminate all corporate tax and individual tax for those who make more than 250,000. These people work the hardest, have the higher education and have paid their dues so they deserve a break. Poor people use the system and should face punitive measures for not contributing as much as they should. They need to pay their fair share.

    2) Make homosexuality illegal punishable by up to 10 years in a federal prison.

    3) Outlaw abortion and make any attempted illegal abortion punishable by death.

    4) Shut down the border by securing it with military personal. Anyone attempting to cross outside of normal checkpoints should be shot on sight.

    5) Pass an amendment to establish a royal family to guide the nation in morals, ethics, and values. The first family elected should be the Palins.

    6) All regulation towards owning firearms should be removed. Teachers and people in positions of authority should be required to take gun training courses and carry weapons at all times. Consider a sidearm part of your uniform.

    7) Eliminate all entitlement programs. Those who have paid money into systems should be cut a check for the amount they have contributed and cut the rest off.

Lots of great ideas we have.

    I voted GOP because:

    1. The GOP Senate candidate in my state has meaningful private sector experience, whereas the Dem candidate was a silver spoon with 0 life accomplishments not related directly by patronage to daddy's name and coattails. I don't like dynasties in politics or career politicians generally, and won't vote that way unless to avoid a greater evil or a battle of dynasties (re Bush v Gore).

    2. In hopes that the GOP will begin the process of dismantling Obamacare and preventing mass executive amnesty that doesn't also reform immigration law in very strict ways.

    3. I believe that Keynesian stimulus is an immoral camouflage over typical government waste and graft, and the GOP will surely do less of it. I also believe in capitalism, reasonable deregulation and support of small business, and believe the GOP will better accomplish those goals via tax and regulatory relief for job creators (who most certainly are entrepreneurs and businesses, NEVER government).

    4. I am sick to death of hearing 30 years of the same leftist lie narratives my entire adult life blaring everywhere including MSM, "war on women, race-baiting, wealth resentment, voter suppression, etc." and believe those narratives have done immeasurable social damage to the country. Though not blameless themselves, GOP does far less of this, and they deserve to be rewarded for that capacity to stick more to actual policy.

I supported the Republican agenda in the 2014 election because:

    1. I'm not a republican, but I wanted to vote for the opposite party for every incumbent. In every seat up for reelection for my district and state, those seats were mostly held by democrats. I voted opposite party for every seat, which meant the one seat held by a republican, I voted democrat. All others I voted Republican.
    2. Maryland's democratic governor has put in place 40 new taxes during his time in office. His LT was running for the office and would just continue to obliterate the middle class with new taxes like our insane "rain tax". So I voted republican.
    3. Maryland's democratic governor has put into place ignorant gun legislation that harms the gun owner and does nothing to help prevent criminals from owning them. It's the opposite of common sense and he opposes any potential for citizens to hold a CCW permit except where we've already proven a threat to our lives through police documentation. So I voted republican.
    4. Harry Reid has an immense amount of bills on his desk pending action. He's the obstructionist leftists have claimed republicans to be. So I voted republican.
    5. Obama is on a roll to just do whatever he wants, without checks and balances, and refuses to address our border security. So I voted republican.

I sure can't sit by and watch democrats control the senate in order to stop the president from having to approve or veto bills. But I expect some return for giving them my votes and if I don't receive that return, we'll have to regroup at the next cycle and again vote opposite party. We'll never have change without changing those in power, and that means all of them regardless of party affiliation.

After all this, there does not seem to be a single reason FOR voting Republican. But, as we have known since 2008 at least, nothing stokes a Republican's ire more, or unites them stronger, than an uppity nigra with an idea.
