If you were God...

...what would be the first thing you do?

Just a brain quiz.

 

Eliminate disease.

 

I would start by getting rid of all politicians and lawyers and watch humanity improve.

 

Then you get overpopulation and people fighting over a loaf of bread.

 

That is what is happening in many 3rd world countries and creeping into all other countries.

Create a universe maybe. Yeah, I know there already is one, you can have two.

I would do nothing....because" His thoughts are higher than my thoughts, His ways are higher than my ways." I know many think they no better....but I don't.

 

That would be real interesting.....I'd like to take a peek at the Universe you would design.

 

If I became God now? Make human sexuality ideal. I'd speak directly to ALL humans with my voice saying having sexual thoughts, fantasies and desires is morally OK. I'd tell ALL humans homosexuality is NOT immoral. I'd tell ALL humans masturbation is OK. I'd eliminate pedophilia and desire to commit incest. Make unwed sexual partners unable to reproduce (the moment a marriage certificate is signed, there is a bright flash of light indicating they can make babies). Sex out of wedlock will not be punished with hellfire, but instead with bad karma. Strike dead instantly all who rape. Strike dead all others but me who try to control other people's sex lives (that means both pimps and priests!). With the above in force, there will be less need for abortions. Abortions will be a grey area for me.

 

I would let all sentient beings in the universe know I'm real and beyond question in charge of their lives. Okay then give a book of rules telling people what I demand of them and show them a taste of heaven and see a bit of hell. Then get the Angels to tend to humans who obey me enough and the demons will get to harm humans who fail my standard. And send the parties to Heaven or Hell as they deserve it that means worship me and follow my rules and do so good enough I'm not that picky.

Major rules no hurting each other, take care of each other the Angels will help with keeping loyal followers fit and all and keep the Bible moral sex codes for the most part and I mean men and women are to be with each other, men no having sex with men, men should be manly enough to look like men, women well are to have babies and look like women and well can have relations which each other since in the OT its not a sin. Anyone outside those norms go to Hell. I would fix anyone with the mental illness of transgender tendencies and whose mentally ill.

Abortions will up to an angel with divine magic life of the mother isn't an issue, incest would be a death sentence if the woman consented leaving rape as an abortion issue and well she should just have the child.

Now the fun stuff I would ban organized religion people should just worship me so no need for more than my book of rules and personal practice.

And I would ban robotics, further development into AI and computers without my approval and such so there was more work for people. And I would create a wormhole system stable to allow easy travel to the stars for humans since I would openly prefer them over aliens. And I would keep the sun renewing and the Earth pollution free for a time until humans can get by without polluting like hell mandating pollution neutrality in say a century and mean it.

 

I mean, I know mostly humanity, so in my current frame of mind, I'd probably go in that direction. But then there'd maybe be a bit of trial and error.

That is why humans that pretend to know better than God are shortsighted. His purpose is eternal....there is no trial and error.

 

That is very interesting, from a human perspective. Now try to do it Gods way by changing human hearts. Much more difficult.

 

Fair. Well, then I wouldn't know yet what I'd do with the world.

 

I would have president trump walk on water , and let him live forever as president . That would certainly make the enemies of this great country explode.

 

I might give a few humans superpowers... temporarily, as a trial. But in general, I would preserve the dynamic of Free Will by not interfering.

 

Typical control freak stuff. All religions already have that model. It doesnt seem that you're adding anything new to the old mix.

 

Why wouldn't everyone just fix everything and make everything perfect?

 

Because no two people can agree on what exactly "perfect" is.

 

So, the question wasn't if you were an engineer or emperor, it asked about being god.

So, you would be perfect, you would know what perfect is. Even if that weren't true, you could fix people to know better. Even if that weren't true, you could give everyone separate realities. Even if that weren't true, you're god, you can figure out a solution that us mere mortals can't.
