    There is significant ongoing research on this and there is little causal link found for a lot of drugs and substances

    There is actually good research on FASD

    This was noted by looking at commonalities. If methamphetamine caused spontaneous abortions then it would be noted by correlation alone but nowhere is that being seen. Lots of things have been suggested to cause spontaneous abortions from coffee to playing sports to having sex or flying and the correlation for all of those is so weak that the best advice comes down to “when pregnant don’t have sex whilst doing gymnastics and drinking coffee mid flight”.

    Now in the USA you might not be funded to look into these correlations but Aus and the UK and other countries with UHCs DO. And because we have UHCs we can. See under a UHC the data entry for patients is massive which allows de-identified correlates to be pulled from the data platforms
