“A new report from Heritage Foundation expected to show making illegals legal would add 4 to 5 trillion bucks to the national debt.”

In 2007, Heritage economist Robert Rector published a study titled, Amnesty Will Cost U.S. Taxpayers at Least $2.6 Trillion. He is a well known expert on welfare use and helped write the 1996 welfare reform legislation. Rector announced a few months ago that he was working on an update to the amnesty numbers.

Thats a crazy number on top of 16.5t, plus Obama budget blowout and believed not to include Obamacare.

    Insane.

Why on earth would Americans accept this insanity?

    Meanwhile

Illegal border crossings leap ahead of immigration bill

Apprehensions of illegal immigrants are up 13 percent this year, the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol testified to Congress on Wednesday as lawmakers continued to bash the Obama administration for failing to have a way of measuring how secure the borders are.

The increase in apprehensions appears to contradict the administration’s assertion that the border is more secure than ever — a claim that is critical to advocates’ hopes of passing an immigration legalization bill this year.

Votes are more important than stability.

But that massive debt is on the heads of every working American as their pay packets will be continually attacked, so its anti-middle class. Massive inflow of low skilled workers makes it even harder for the unemployed to find work and threatens to bankrupt the system that feeds them, so its anti-unemployed. The massive debt builds for future generations so its anti-kids/youth.

Of course Dems know most will vote for them and it seems Republicans are hoping to break into the minority vote. Neither party should get a single vote every again, they're sell outs. This makes no sense for anyone except for the corporations.

    What an utterly goofball show.

EVERY assumption and assertion they make is NOT true, asserting with that NO ONE is proposing giving amnesty to "20 MILLION or 100 MILLION non-working illegals"!

As fact-free as ANYTHING Fox has ever done.

Further, professional propagandist Robert Rector is NOT an "economist", his degree is in POLITICAL SCIENCE, and he has served as the point man for tailoring various of the Republican hate dreams to become palatable to all the people getting screwed by the absurd Republican proposals he has fostered, such as goofball, obvious FAILS like "abstinence education".

Right. They can't prove without a shadow of a doubt that illegals will add to the deficit just like YOU can't prove that illegals WON'T add to the deficit because it's IMPOSSIBLE.

Illegals aren't on the books so it's literally impossible to make an accurate estimation. Having said that YOU are making assumptions as well.

Whether or not Robert Rector is a political scientist, economist or a burger flipper at burger king doesn't matter.

You are the biggest kool aid drinker I've ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. Sheep.

Prove "beyond a shadow of a doubt"???

These nutballs are asserting there will be 100 MILLION new citizens and they will be costing 4 or 5 TRILLION DOLLARS!!

And you just pointed out how idiotic the claims are about the "costs of illegals"! Indeed they are NOT "on the books!" The ENORMOUS costs attributed to them is a bunch of hokum, and what troubles they DO cause are the result of businesses big and small who give them a reason to come here when they hire them at slave wages instead of hiring Americans

The companies that make enormous profits from their sub-minimum wages and no-overtime and no-safety work conditions sure don't specify the virtual slaves that have gotten by encouraging illegal entry and blocking EVERY meaningful attempt to get a way for employers to held responsible for their actions.

And Robert Rector's qualifications DO matter when some hokey description of him as an "economist' is the ONLY foundation for these INSANE spoutings from the Right!

If it "doesn;t matter", why is Fox andn the OP lying by describing him as one?
