As far as a "genuine" repentance? I don't think so. The wicked will be destroyed from the earth at Christ's 2nd Coming. Those that are left will be good people of all faiths and religions that will be taught the Gospel in peace for a 1,000 years. There will be no death or destruction. 1,000's of Temples will be built to do the work of all mankind that did not have the opportunity during their lives. Missionary work and Temple work with be the work of the Millennium.

 

A wise man once said, "All you can do is all you can do. But, all you can do is enough." We tend to put more pressure on ourselves than is necessary. Hard work shouldn't bring depression and sadness. I had another Facetime meeting with two Latter day Saint missionaries on Saturday and another meeting is scheduled for this afternoon. I also went to the local ward of the LDS yesterday on Sunday.... as well as to an Evangelical Christian service later on that day.

Isaiah's prophecy was that of the restoration of Israel. Israel has done just that and is willing to share it's knowledge with its neighbors. Always has been. As far as global warming, we can put off the warming by using that method of turning desert into a garden. But, even with that, the sun continues to extend outward. We will continue to heat up. But, over millions of years. The Millennium will come before that happens. Another way to cool things down is nuclear winter. That's more likely. For the record.... within each positive is at least some potential for negative...... I am a former member of the Worldwide Church of God. Now Padre. In my world some call hell there were no "demons" just humans. Physical bodies of flesh and blood encased around a soul or energy that came into that body and will move on from it when it decays and ceases to function.

In this supposed hell souls came to experience a material dimension and learn from conflicts in this dimension of materialism that creates a deliberate challenge. That challenge or illusion of existence in the hear and now limited by 5 senses, sets the narrow and rigid stage to challenge each soul. What each soul came to learn I do not know. I suspect as you do the battle or constant conflict between negative and positive is the fuel to try learn it.

All that ever was, is or could be would of course be nothing but everything simultaneously and thus to try learn this paradox one would perhaps want to disassociate from one's greater whole into infinite particles of it to re-experience its sudden realization that all and nothing are at once the same. In so doing one would learn what it would be to be a eternal being without being one and being able to share that creative experience. A never ending cascading river of energry all departing and creating their own all or nothings.

When you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you can receive your Patriarchal Blessing and you will know your Tribe that you are from. If you are not from a tribe, then you will be assigned to one of the 12 Tribes of Israel. We are being gathered all around the world wherever Zion is. Zion is where the pure in heart dwell. Not just the original land of Israel. That is what you are missing out from because you get distracted by the controversial things that cannot be proven. Nor are they the method in which the Savior has established to know truth. By faith though our study of the Scriptures (All of them), faith in Christ, faith not wavering and without a double mind. The last is what I think you should zero in on.

 

I truly thank you for obviously welcoming me to become a member of the Latter day Saints community. I had an excellent meeting online with two LDS Elders working in Washington State on Saturday evening. They really did an awesome job of showing me how there are a number of near death experience accounts in the Book of Mormon. I think it was Alma chapters eighteen and nineteen.... but I will have to check later on to make sure if that is correct or not.

One requirement that I definitely need before I could try to join a church is that they must take near death experience accounts very seriously. The LDS church is passing that test with flying colours.... I feel that NDE accounts are a large part of the fulfilment of John chapter sixteen verse twenty five.

 

That's really not a testimony that helps get you into the Celestial Kingdom. What about all those billions of people that never have a near death experience? Are they banished from Eternal Life? No. So, what testimonies must one have?
1. That God, the Eternal Father and his Son, Jesus Christ live and the Holy Ghost bears this record and are all three the make up of the Godhead, separate and distinct personages.
2. The Book of Mormon is the word of God.
3. Joseph Smith is the Prophet called by the Godhead to open up this the final dispensation of the fullness of time and begin the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
4. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only Church the Godhead recognizes as having their authority to do all saving ordinances through their priesthood in which Joseph Smith had conferred upon him.
5. There is only one Prophet, Seer and Revelator upon the earth in these latter-days at a time in which the Lord communicates to for the messages he has for all of mankind. Today, that is Russel M. Nelson. He and he only holds "ALL" keys of the kingdom of salvation and exaltation to act in Christ's name.
6. The Quorum of the 12 Apostles are also prophets, seers and revelators and hold the keys of the kingdom of God on the earth. They are able to use those keys as directed by the Prophet and President of the Church.

Whether anyone besides Prophet's, Seers and Revelators present and past in the Church have had visitations or near death experiences is not going to help one bit with your salvation or exaltation. Paying tithes and offerings will. Give up alcohol, coffee and smoking will. Being honest in our dealings with our fellow man will. And, many other things we are asked in our Temple Recommend interviews. Get a testimony of those 6 things before anything else. And, stay out of the weeds of things unimportant for you and your family.
