And how does this plan get pulled off with no communication that would be intercepted by the NSA?

What communications are you imagining that couldn't be carried out using code phrases?

No, when you find yourself at the losing end of an argument, rather than concede, you claim that I've moved the goalposts. It's kinda sad that you think nobody reading this thread will see through the excuses.

So we start getting weird North Korean chatter directed at a ship full of code phrases and you think that doesn't result in a VBSS?

You have moved the goalposts. Objectively.

First it was "The commies never threatened us after the Cuban Missile crisis", then it became "well they didn't do it obviously".

Then it became "well the war would have been accidental instead of purposeful."

Then it became "well there was brinksmanship in both cases but I'm going to dismiss Able Archer's brinksmanship because it hurts my argument".

Alright, that's it. If you really believe such nonsense (that North Koreans don't have English speakers available, and that code phrases can't be set up to sound innocent), I've got other things to do with my time.

Right. Every case of moving your goalposts was when I assumed you understood what we were talking about. I've since learned that's not the case.

You're the one who invented the insane scenario with no basis in reality.

Just admit your initial claim was bullshit and we can move on.

Only 2 of them, one by Israel, and the newest generation of Tomahawks.

That is the one advantage of using a TEL. However, there are disadvantages as well.

A TEL also degrades the accuracy of the missile, and also requires a much longer time to get it operational.

Saddam did not use his SCUD missiles as tactical weapons, he used them as terror weapons. Aiming was crude in the extreme, and most landed nowhere near their targets. They simply pulled into an empty area of the desert, pointed them in the general direction of the target, and let them go. No real different than what Germany did during WWII.

It's the North Koreans that are pushing us to war. It's a crappy little country and no one cares what they do to themselves. The crazy dude can slaughter all 25 million of his own countrymen ... no big deal.

But he can't point nuclear missiles at the U.S.

Lol, I think I mentioned earlier, it's not who gets outta the gate quicker, it's who crosses the finish line, hence usa landing on the moon.

That was another pointless exercise designed for no other reason than to impress the USSR. You'll have noticed nobody has bothered to fly up there since.

South Korea with its military could probably mop the floor with the north.

That data is one year old. The besieged defenders of Stalingrad were genuinely starving; subsisting on grass, boot leather, rats and boiled wallpaper paste. All domestic animals and pets had been eaten. They still managed to hold off the most powerful military in the world. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/boo...-A-CITY-UNDER-SIEGE-1941-44-BY-ANNA-REID.html
