    He aspires to be a tyrant, and like all aspiring tyrants, he has a significant popular Faction supporting him. You people here on this board who claim to be supporters of representative democracy - it is time for our representatives to act. Remove the tyrant, bar him from electoral politics!

    Too late. There isn't time. But there is time for the 25th Amendment remedy.

    Time to use the 25th Amendment our so called president is irrational and needs to be removed before he does more harm. Let Pence finish out has last few days

    Better if he can be removed via impeachment. Make the tyrant ineligible to run again.

    Well... the Congress is already convened. The witnesses are...well... everybody in Congress. They experienced the consequences of the Orange Idiot's acts first hand. So it might not take that long. Depending on where the Chief Justice is these days, it could take as little as just a few hours.

    There's two things, here: We need to set a precedent of the Legislature being able to actually move against an unchecked Chief Magistrate who is inciting insurrection; because if we don't, the tyrant has now set precedent for how far a coup-attempt can go, unanswered and unpunished.

    Oh, there's time, if Congress (viz. the Republicans) expedite the process. Impeachment is better, because Trump can't legally challenge the process, and once removed he is out of electoral politics, permanently.

    25th, it's faster.

    Section 4
    Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

    The House Democrats need no further delays. Trump should be impeached Monday or Tuesday. The Senate should not need more than seven days to render a verdict. Given that it was the orchestrated attack on the Capitol building itself that the Demagogue is getting impeached for (in the midst of the Constitutionally-mandated certification of the election which the Demagogue lost, no less), it is absolutely vital that the Legislature demonstrate its capacity to hold a rogue and lawless Chief Magistrate to account. The Executive has slowly but steadily morphed into an Imperial branch, over the last many decades; for our republican institutions to survive, once and for all the Congress must exercise its prerogative responsibility to assert its Article I role, and protect the country from tyrants. Now is the time.

    Now is the moment. The historic, second Impeachment of a president is underway. The Majority Leader in the Senate has signaled that the Senate will take up the Article of Impeachment for an expedited review. The People may finally be on the cusp of ridding themselves of this tyrant.

    Or maybe not. But they were on the cusp of "ridding themselves of this tyrant" already, this just made them look silly and afraid of Big Bad Trump.

    ...and to the poster above, could you have formatted that any worse?

    That's because...

    “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.”—Abraham Lincoln

    {(∃x)[Px * (∀y)(Ty ⊃ Fxy)] * (∃y)[Ty * (∀x)(Px ⊃ Fxy)]} * (∃y)( ∃x)[Ty * Px * ~Fxy]
    Symbols:
    Px = ‘x is a person’
    Tx = ‘x is a time’
    Fxy= ‘you can fool x at time y’
    (∀x) = ‘for all variables x’
    (∃x) = 'for at least one variable x'
    ⊃ = Logical operator for conditional: If, then.
    * = Conjunction ‘*’ ‘and’
    ~ = Negation, 'not'
