"Romney also said he voted in Dem primaries to influence the race"

    https://www.politico.com/blogs/burn...rimaries-to-influence-the-race-updated-115774

""In Massachusetts, if you register as an independent, you can vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary," said Romney, who until he made an unsuccessful run for Senate in 1994 had spent his adult life as a registered independent. "When there was no real contest in the Republican primary, I’d vote in the Democrat primary, vote for the person who I thought would be the weakest opponent for the Republican.""

oh, I agree, I do not support it, want rules against it, but if repubs can do it, so can dems

I think each person should only be able to donate $2500, that is all you and I can donate, why can a corp donate more?

I also do not support unfair redistricting, but if repubs can do it, so can dems

I also do not support ghost candidates, but if repubs can do it, so can dems

    Yes, and . . . ?
Not the same thing as funding primary candidates who run on a platform you intend to oppose in the general election.

Limits on donating are limits on speech. We have free speech in our country.

    Yes, and . . . ?

I would say that is actually worse, voting for someone you intend to oppose in the general election.

There are PAC's that can accept unlimited contributions.
As a practical matter, my contributions do not exceed three figures.

PAC's are also limited in contributions to specific candidates, as are corporations and individuals. PAC's can receive and spend unlimited amounts not tied to any specific candidate.

I said (several times) that it was perfectly legal. It was also deeply hypocritical.

There's nothing wrong with rules. The problem is with Democrats' ethics.

I have no brief for either party, both of which have gerrymandered whenever they had the opportunity for over 200 years. But yes, the problem is with Dems' ethics.
