There was an 1-800 number, but they advertised spermicide, IUD, sponge all sorts of things that I haven't a damn clue about! To be honest I felt a bit weird going that far in to it, and I'll not be revisiting that experience anytime soon!

Because it used to work to the benefit of both. Instead of higher wages on which they would have to pay taxes the employees got healthcare benefits on which they did not pay taxes. And the employeer could deduct the cost of healthcare from taxes so back in the old days it was pretty much a win win situation.

Now with a surplus of labor employers have no need to either pay the wage or provide the healthcare except of course for the companies executives.

Having others pay for something is not free... Thanks for your honesty though.

But it is still cheaper than supporting an unwanted child

And? You seem to think there are two options. People like me pay for it or people like me pay for it.

Then, you're saying I'm responsible for the decisions of others when it comes to unplanned pregnancy?

No it's not. Don't support the child and don't support the abortion. You will get a reduced amount of bad decisions. You're wanting to kill the child anyway.

Making 10 bucks an hour will still qualify most for Medicaid

LOL well it was convenient wasn't it. 250 minutes, text, and data all FREE. You said 25 minutes. Quite a difference, don't you think?

    Everyone makes mistakes.
Is it a mistake that you think this is an obama originated program?

But but the poor people only get 25 piddly minutes on their free cell phones. I pointed out they get lots of minutes, and text and data and you want t blow over it as if it's deserved anyway. We don't need to pay for anyone's cell phones. We are already paying for their healthcare, their food, their shelter, etc. I guess you think it's luck that we made it through centuries without cell phones. A cell phone is a luxury and a convenience, not a necessity.

All I'm going to say is that anti-choicers have no right to complain.

We all have choices. Some people wait until after they are going to have a baby to have somebody else make their "problem" go away. Do what you want, but I want no part of it and that includes my tax dollars.

Completely agree. We make it so easy for them to do too, we pay for everything they need along the way, even cell phones.

Kill the baby in the womb or let the baby starve. We still pay.

We pay when they have an abortion and we pay when they don't. We ALWAYS pay for the care of the dumb and incompetent. That's the role of the intelligent and responsible.

Darwin did have a point. Then again Darwin is doing his best over in Africa but the rest of the world is desperately trying to fight against nature. How many trillions has the world spent tossing it into a bottomless hole. And now think about what we've gained as a result of caring for that part of the world. Nobody really can figure it out.

Look someone is responsible. Who is it? Also, don't assume I support nation building. In fact, it's a bipartisan effort to screw up the middle east. Being a libertarian, I'm one of the few people that actually oppose all superfluous government expenditures.

250 minutes is not lots of minutes. 4 hrs and 10 minutes. My wife will use that up in less than 1 day. So she would be without a phone for 29+ days the rest of the month.

Deserved? Where did I say anything about deserving? Why lie?

How about the link I provided that said one can trace this program back to Reagan and further?
The fact it's now cell phones instead of land lines is because times have changed.
    So again, why lie?????
