Cops who illegally use deadly force without reason should go to prison

Irrelevant to the discussion that is presently at hand, which is the current reality of the world. Denying that reality, and claiming it should be different, serves to change nothing.

Does denying that fire is hot serve to prevent an individual from being burned? If not then their denial of facts changes nothing and serves no purpose.

Now let the discussion drop. There is nothing further to be said on this matter that has not been said previously.

Accidental death. A true choke hold is not a choke. The hold if, done right, compresses the carotids on each side of the neck stopping blood flow to the brain and the subject passes out. Done wrong and the subject gets choked, can't breath or speak. Mr. Garner was grossly obese. He was forced down prone and someone sat on his back. In someone of normal size this would not effect breathing but in the obese much tissue is being compressed and displaced. The pelvic girdle stops the downward displacement of tissue and the diaphragm stops the upward displacement. The problem is this also stops the diaphragm from functioning. He felt like he was being smothered and he was. His protests yelling he could not breath, using accessory muscles, were probably taken as lies.

Your understanding of this is that he was selling cigarettes and the police pulled up and killed him for it? Really? Haven't you left out some key information?

Then Eric Garner is at fault in this matter, not only for knowingly, deliberately, and needlessly committing the criminal offense that warranted law enforcement intervention, but also doing so while in such an unhealthy state.

Why are you leaving out key information?

Eric Garner was arrested and convicted for selling loose, untaxed tobacco products at least once before. Meaning he knew full well that what he was doing at the time of this incident was a criminal act. The fact he already had a criminal conviction and was doing such again elevated the act from a misdemeanor offense to a felony offense, in accordance with the laws of the state of New York. Had Eric Garner been taken alive he would have been convicted of a felony offense, gone to prison, and become nothing more than one more statistic as far as black male individuals go.

He even challenged the police saying "this ends right now" as he resisted arrest. So they attempted a take down and he continued to struggle and his existing rotten health killed him.

Pray tell, why is it believed that Eric Garner deserved a pass for knowingly committing a felony offense, after having been arrested for the same crime previously? Why is it believed that law enforcement officers should have simply walked away, and allowed Eric Garner to continue committing his crime unimpeded?

    Raise your hand.
He's at fault for breaking the law and resisting arrest but for being unhealthy while doing it? As demonstrated repeatedly empathy is not your forte.

    Correct.

    Such has never been disputed.
