Some of us quietly served, and no medals or ceremonies or honors, comforted by the knowledge of a job well done, deeds of valor.

    and we have a toast:

"Here's to Us, who is like Us ?
Damn few, and they're all are dead !"

R.I.P. most Noble and Valiant Warriors.....

Not a single day either of you. Go into a military bar and say you served. You will get laughed at. You may have been LEO but don't claim you served

go into that same bar and claim you served and then say you don't care what the founders thought and that the second amendment means nothing and see how you are treated. BTW I don't believe you served in the military (of the USA) at all

I'd tell them I support the right of veterans to own guns

and I would tell them you don't.

    and I would be truthful

Want to eat those words with a side order of crow ?

Of many things, I was at Ground Zero on 9/11/01 in the rescue effort and the recovery effort and paid a heavy toll.

My service record is quite well documented in the proper places.. I assure you there is nothing but good in my deeds..... And nobody but you laughs...

    No matter.......

I don't have to "claim" I served. My closest group of friends is about 90% currently and formerly serving military, and they would tell you I've done my part for this country... and they would unhesitatingly throw you out of any bar they were in for your comments about the Founders.

OK, the 10mm 1911A2 so far...

    - Fit and finish as good as any 'name brand' I've held/shot. Slide fits tight to the frame. No bushing for the barrel, fits in the slide w/ no movement.
-The slide cycles like it has hydraulics rather than a spring - feels like slow, deep pressure pushing against you rather than the rasp of a light action. I am sure this is due to the hefty recoil spring. I very much like it.
    - The grip is wide and fits -very- well in my hand. Ample checking on the side a rear of the grips, but none on the bare metal frontstrap. I'd like something to cover the metal to keep the finish from wearing. The beavertail is wide and does a good job of spreading the recoil as the gun rotates up and back.
    - Trigger has a bit of take-up but it is smooth and breaks crisply and repeatedly once engaged.
    - The ambi slide safety could use slightly wider levers. Easy enough to operate at the range but needs a little practice for quick operation for carry.
The wider grip makes is a little harder to reach the mag release with the right thumb - I have to tunr the gun a little further than my standard 1911.
    - The gun is nice and heavy when loaded with 16+1- the extra weight helps with the recoil of the full power loads.
    - For my eyes the front/rear sights are at just the wring distance to focus cleanly on the orange fiber-optic front sight. The rear white dots and the front line up close together and asre easy to acquire.
    - Ran 50 40/10mm rounds through the gun w/o stoppage. Recoil less than 45 ACP as you'd expect. Wans't shooting for accuracy or speed but up all round sin the lungs at 7yd
    - Ran 16 full power (180@1350) 10mm w/o stoppage. Recoil is substantial as is the movement of the gun - follow up acquisition was slower. No stoppages, same accuracy.
    - Loaded gun sits heavy on the belt, but not bad. Two loaded mags on the other side will help :)

All in all, its a keeper.

Been considering a 10mm myself. Currently fill that roll with my HK45c using .450SMC rounds, but mix practice with 45acp. Not the best DA for first shot, but excellent in follow up SA. It’s never hiccuped from day 1 and while only 9rd, is easy to carry and quick to reload. I like and work on 1911’s (working on two for tomorrow’s show) but not sure if I will do 10mm in that platform or a Sig or Glock.... slowly thinking. I do like the Sig, but it’s big, almost too much for my hands.
Which manufacturer, if you care to share?

Link to mfg site in OP. RIA

    I will someday own a HK45. Someday.

I understand early 10mm 1911s have issue with their frame rails, but I can't imagine that will ever be a problem primarily shooting the 40/10mm loads for practice (and fun), keeping the full power loads for game time.

Not my point and you know it. You misquoted it and you know that too. Paraphrasing would have served you better than the claiming it was a quote. Trivial I know but that is often the theme here.

why do you make claims you know to be false? do you do that because your arguments are poorly reasoned or do you do that to disrupt threads where your silly arguments are being eviscerated?

I did misquote it. That is crystal clear. I apologize for the misquote. Though my point remains the same

you make more unsupported claims and silly worthless one liners than anyone on this board. every claim I have made is based on facts or my extensive experience. you on the other hand make stuff up

No you post facts not in evidence. Your goal right now is to make this about you and me so you can derail the argument. Because you have no argument

you have demonstrated you do not understand what evidence is, Your goal is to evade debate and try to pretend that your unsupported arguments have merit even though they are faith based

Did I serve in the military? No. Did I serve as a law-enforcement officer and put my life on the line for this country? Yes, I did.

I showed your comments and insulting denigration of my time in uniform to a friend of mine who spent 22 years in the military and just retired. Quoting his assessment of you as a man and a human being directly would get me banned. Based on the tone and tenor of your comments, he doesn't believe your claims of military service either; but hey; that's just his opinion. I'll leave it at that.

I served as a law enforcement officer, and I'm proud of that. Don't give a rip what you have to say about it except to tell you to go perform anatomical impossibilities on yourself.
