Meh, Conservatives will never completely fade for one simple reason. The other side is just that much vocal hot air and heard more, bark worse that bite effect. Just because they are silent does not mean they are done for / down for the count.
Yes we have seen that but there seems to be backlash against it I would see that most Americans are conservative and religious at least to some degree or at least by today's standards and because of that these people are our number one defense against this March into Oblivion.
Part of the Social Democratic plan was to create a "Volkhaus" (Folkhem) which basically meant a nation where The State becomes everyone's parent. They very much have succeeded in doing so.
