    Sleep tight suckers.

I once got to view a prison riot, from a secure location inside.

When the guards rushed in it was remarkable.

Oh I'm sorry, did you miss the part where they were fighting among themselves for drugs and who gets what corner of the yard?

What's your plan for reforming people that kill other people for standing on their side?

No one is forcing your to work in dangerous areas. Get another job. I have traveled all over the world (US, Europe, North Africa, Asia, the ME) mostly as an independent traveler on my own and have never needed or felt the need for a weapon. No cocoon.

step one is to stop locking people in cages for nonviolent drug offenses where they can grow embittered and learn how to be a better criminal from experienced criminals, only to emerge with zero employability due to a felony on their record. i think that alone would make a huge difference.

but, you know, you probably think that's hippy bullshit

The cell phones were not legal in prison. So was it "pushed" by government.

    Drug dealing isn't non-violent.

I do agree though that those who can't be rehabilitated should be separated from those who could be though.

I also agree that there should be a better pathway to reintegration into society for non-violent felons. It should be demanding, but it should be fair.

Thank you for being honest about this part. The FCC is fighting jamming of cell phones. My guess is that they are envoking or mimicking the 1st amendment.

Do we need an amendment that says prisoners lose all Constitutional rights.

Will banning cell phones mean that only criminals will have cell phones?

So we need separate prisons or separate sections of prisons for violent and non violent prisoners.

The article has an error. It says that the prisoners had knives, but this cannot be. Prisoners are prohibited from keeping and bearing knives in prison.
