When visiting Germany I was astounded by the number of Turks (been there since the 60s) and new Arab and African migrants. It seemed they had no interest in assimilating and were hostile to their hosts. This bodes well for Germans, as there is a self imposed segregation between the groups and may allow the Germans to keep their traditions and heritage more intact.
In America on the other hand, the whites have fully embraced minority culture and have already lost many of their traditions and heritage.
It will be interesting to see how each country looks in 100 years.

 

Germany is divided in 3 ways.

1. east and west. There are almost zero non germans in east germany and the population is 99.9 % german.

2. city and land In west Germany migrants live only in teh cities and not in the villages. This concentration on just a few spots can give an impression that there are may turks, when infact there are not.

3. Ghettos in the city. Even in the cities, the migrants concentrate on their quarters. There is almost zero mixing or connection between te groups.
