*shrug* An alarmist post, that comes from a conspiracy laden website that encourages purchasing of gold (through their ads), and catering to the fringe survivalist mindset. Sorry, but the threat of EMP has been so badly blown out of proportion over the years, that most people really have no idea how little damage it would actually cause. If anybody actually believes those fantasy stories of "EMP destroying all electronics in the US", then I encourage them to research the Operation Fishbowl series of atmospheric nuclear blasts. And in specific, research the Starfish Prime blast. 5 high atmosphere nuclear tests, only one of which caused any damage (and that was very limited). EMP and it's effects are one of the least understood boogiemen that neurotics still cling to. And preventing and mitigating it's effects are childishly easy and simple.

The United States EMP Commission did not look at the civilian infrastructures of other nations.
