The "chaos and upheaval" isn't their top priority, getting Trump reelected is

During the 2016 election, I was a Hillary supporter but I saw an add on Facebook that said she had fat ankles so I switched my vote to Trump.
Stay off Facebook and you will be fine.

“None of this should be a big surprise,” Obama said, “Russia trying to influence our elections dates back to the Soviet Union.

Not often i agreed with him but there you go.

No serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections.”

Hardly, just recounting the facts, Russia is again involved in our election for the purpose of getting Trump reelected

And you will probably see another, big news, Trump's own people are now confirming Russia is working to get their boss elected, and seemingly, Trump and Mitch see no problem with it

i'm curious exactly what this meddling or interfering actually is, do they cite examples? or just make a blanket statement.

The whole facebook meme always made me laugh, from my experience FB was easily 10-1 in favor of hillary and anti trump.

so bad that I actually had to either hide posts or unfriend several people, including some relatives because the volume was massive, the tone was so negative and condescending that I had to let them go, I don't want people like that messing up my FB feed. Now I only log in to find stuff on marketplace, adblocker is in place.

Really, so you think are elections are now secure? That hooking up voting machines to the Internet is a good idea? That it shouldn't be law that campaigns report any outside efforts by foreigners to interfere in their or others campaigns?

And by the way, it is the job of the FEC and FBI to insure the integrity of elections, not some local sheriff

Bernie wouldn't accept the help nor ignore the effort, anyone with the integrity to refuse big donors ain't going to turn around and accept foreign aid

    Nice childish insult

You have no answers.. Three years later you all can not say if any votes were changed at all.

Name the states that have their voting machines hooked up to the internet..

"No serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections.”

Was Obama a "Trumpkin" as you childishly put it?

You'd have to ask McGuire that question, obvious Trump has already taken steps to make sure none of us will ever know

And on social media, as we know from 2016, the Russians zeroed in on targeted voters, recall the Manaford Russian exchange on campaign voter data? Once the algorithm kicks in those selected voters are bombarded with the same type messages, remember the axiom, if you repeat something enough times some people will beleive it

You might want to apply that axiom to yourself.

he 35 systems Skoglund’s team found represent a fraction of total voting systems nationwide, though he believes they only captured a portion of the systems that are or have been online. Earlier this week, Skoglund showed NBC three election systems were still online even after officials had been told they were vulnerable.

Systems not states.. And they are not the voting machines themselves they are ones that tabulate the vote.

Exactly, and you beleive having machines that tabulate the vote connected to the Internet is a wise course to follow?

It was. But more importantly it was in the U.S. interest.

Syria wasn't a US concern, it was a Syrian, Russia, Iraq, Jordan and Turkey concern.

That is the answer, you can't determine how many votes were effected by Russian interference any more than you can TV advertising or gym rallies or important endorsements, but we do to some degree they all are effective

that's why I had and still have an adblocker.
FWIW, the dnc bragged about using the same types of methods to help obama in 08 and 12, it wasn't a problem until they lost.

Anytime I read about the targeted ads I go back to the obvious
    1) I may have seen 1 or 10, no idea that were anti hillary
    2) I may have seen 10 or 100, no idea that were anti trump

They always leave out the anti trump stuff when trying to make their point, as if it doesn't matter or didn't happen, well it does and it did.
