I've done a bit of traveling in my time and it never occurred to me to not visit a country because I disapproved of the government.

Unless it's potentially murderous, such as the left's darlings in Venezuela...

" Canadian tourism was down 23.5 percent in Manatee County in December, Walter Klages, an analyst with Data Research Services, told the Manatee County Tourist Development Council on Monday. The number of European travelers also fell that month, dropping 4.9 percent.

Klages said he doesn’t expect the dollar to lose its strong footing anytime soon. International tourists, he said, will simply have less buying power on United States soil for the foreseeable future.

“Our economy clearly is not insulated from the rest of the world, although sometimes we might want it to be,” Klages said. “The critical element here is, really, the dollar.”

    Keep up the madeup bullshit.

So you don't realize that Black Bloc isn't just a US thing, right? That the movement started in Europe and they're profligate pretty much everywhere around the globe.

It's so cute when righties try to patronize but don't seem to understand "year-over-year" which is clearly stated in both the article and the OP.

Try reading it again. This time take your time, focus on comprehension, and look up any words with more than two syllables.

The Dollar hit a 14 year high at the beginning of the year and it continues to clime, and for you inept liberals that don't have a clue what that means. it means other currencies exchange rate isn't as good as it use to be. Which means the US isn't a cheap tourist destination as it was years ago.
So with a high dollar we will have less out of country tourist.
The slow down in tourism doesn't have a dam thing to do with Trump other then Trump is improving the economy which increases the value of the dollar
but what ever fuels your Trump hate go with it blame Trump but all it shows is your ignorance

The data compares March 2017 to March 2016 (that's what year over year means).

I live in Florida and this causes me both joy and concern.

Joy in that fewer tourists means more park time for us and fewer insane drivers on the road.

Concern in that fewer tourists means less of your money coming here to pay for our stuff.

So, come to Florida. Terror free since last Tuesday. You don't actually have to stay. Just toss your money across the border and we'll have Governor Scott sweep it up. What else has he got to do?

Antifa uses Black Bloc tactics. Black Bloc is proliferate in Europe where it originated.
So why would someone from Europe even consider Black Bloc activities in the US which are relatively mild compare to their activities in Europe?

    Does that help?

Here's a thought - millions of Americans rely on the tourists industry to put food on the table - so decreases in tourism caused by
Trump's erratic behavior ARE NOT putting America first.

And no - coal does not even come close to the revenue generated by tourism ($1.6 TRILLION in travel revenue compared to $46 billion in coal production per year)

Your is the attitude of the guy who cuts off his nose to spite his face. Asinine.

They're A LOT more likely to be shot by some deranged Trump supporter or a member of the sovereign citizens movement so maybe you have a point in a very roundabout sense of the term.

Not in Florida. We normally get a lot of winter tourists from Europe - mainly Germany. Thank goodness Trump didn't piss off our European allies ... oh wait ... never mind.

Dollar was just as strong against the Euro in 2015 and 2016. The variable is Trump's erratic behavior toward foreigners.

You mean the 'pregnant' flyovers? It's still too soon to tell but we were getting them frequently on my unit before President Trump.

    Bullshit.
    Per TFR:
The Dollar hit a 14 year high at the beginning of the year and it continues to clime, and for you inept liberals that don't have a clue what that means. it means other currencies exchange rate isn't as good as it use to be. Which means the US isn't a cheap tourist destination as it was years ago.

If you're referring to Trump I'll have to correct you. Trump has no interest in putting anything but Trump, first. Haven't you been paying attention, or do you actually believe the rabble-rousing electioneering rhetoric from a proven liar?

$1 US dollar to 0.90 Euro exchange rate.

$1 US dollar to 0.78 British Pound exchange rate.

So let us know how President Trump is hurting us again?
