Might want to look at international differences in social housing? Back in 2007 the US had a social rented sector of only 3.2%. That compared to 35% in the Netherlands.

Its a reference to market failure. Housing markets do not work well. But hey, you might think half a million homeless is a good thing!

No fault of their own, right? No addiction? No bad behaviour, or alienation of everyone who ever loved or cared about them?

Your lack of empathy is astounding considering some of these folks might be the same ones rummaging through your panty drawer while you're at the bar with your friends.

well you could call it a failure of liberalism since liberalism opposes religion which had been the primary motivator in Western Civilization?

Empathy? For the obnoxious drunk who chooses a cardboard box because responsibility and self-restraint are too much trouble? When there are children starving to death in other parts of the world?

    Seriously?

This is an interesting claim. Can you refer to economic analysis in support? I hope you're not going to be reliant on the dicredited analysis into the Reformation!

Housing markets do not work in a vacuum. Income tends to be a requirement.

I believe the Religious have a moral obligation toward the poor.

Equal protection of the law regarding the legal concept of employment at will, would solve simple poverty and eliminate homelessness and poverty, when due merely to a lack of income under our form of Capitalism.

Unemployment compensation on an at-will basis is market friendly and promotes the general welfare.

Yes, housing markets tend to ensure inefficient gains to the rich.

That's a rejection of Conservatism then!

This isn't content. How are you going to eliminate how housing markets support inefficient inequalities while increasing the threat of macroeconomic disaster?

lol. with a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage and unemployment compensation at fourteen dollars an hour. This issue is not Labor's problem. Capitalists have recourse to entire departments to help them conform to rational choice theory or fill out corporate welfare forms in triplicate, if necessary. Employers should negotiate for tax breaks.

What makes you think he Chose a cardboard box, that may have been his only option. His support system of friends and family, if he ever had one, may have abandoned him through no fault of his own. Trust me, it does happen.

Addiction is often an attempt to escape reality through self medication for depression, anxiety, pain, or other mental disorders or a mental diseases.

If you have never been in a similar desparate situation you will never understand and probably never have any empathy.

i see you have nothing but fallacy instead of a valid argument, for a rebuttal.

I am making a political point, right winger.

actually dear I don't think economists study the primary force behind Western Civilization. Probably historians or philosophers do that.

No you're not. You are taking economic vocab and pretending meaning. I'm happy for you to pretend otherwise. Tell me what "conform to rational choice theory" entails and how your critique supports your argument?

So you can't refer to any economic evidence in support? Shame. Can you find a five year old to pay you on the head?
