and we should not forget that it was Israel who was demanding that the US give up the JCPOA which has led to the current situation in the ME - as well as only a fool ever signing any deal with the US again.

The Israelis have been picking on what they regard as Iran's weakest link: pro Iran militia forces that are trained and equipped to fight an entirely different enemy, namely ISIS and the crew that were seeking the Israeli inspired policies of death and destruction in Syria and Iraq. While Iran will find ways to beef up the ability of these forces to hit Israel (and anyone else) that hit them, regardless of what Israel tries, presently these forces find themselves isolated because even Russia is not just turning a blind eye on violations of Syrian air space. It is actively assisting efforts to dislodge these forces from Syria, even though the government of Bashar Assad (who is the one inviting the Russians in Syria in the first place) is opposed to these moves.

The one thing Israel has totally miscalculated is the changing dynamics in Iran. Until recently, Iran still held hopes that it could salvage the JCPOA. At least, that was the course that the government of Rouhani was still pursuing. For that reason, Iran didn't want to further inflame the situation and didn't want to put those who were working to salvage the JCPOA (the Europeans, Russians and Chinese) in any worse predicament politically, thereby letting Israel get away with its attacks. That is no longer the case. The situation is already inflamed and any hopes of salvaging the JCPOA (misplaced from the beginning) are now in ruins. Under these circumstances, Israel should very well expect to wake up on day and find some of its own important installations under fire and in ruins too. When this will happen, I can't tell for sure. But it will happen. That I am confident about.

I should mention that in the meantime, the Houthis had laid out detailed information in a news briefing on how they carried out this attack. I consider their version at least as credible as the one from the US. Indeed, all the Saudis really even tried to prove in their briefing is that the missiles and drones were of Iranian origin. They never made the case advanced by the US that the missiles and drones were launched from Iran, although they did say they believe they were launched from the "north".

My own view is that the attack, while definitely having assistance from Iran's revolutionary guards and involving Iranian weapon systems, was unlikely to have been launched from Iran. Most likely, it was launched from Yemen by the Houthis or possibly from Iraq by Iran-backed militia there with assistance from Iran.

With the implementation of comprehensive sanctions the United States has attempted to
place a strangle hold upon Iran, a stangle hold whose intent is obviously to kill. We have
seen the deadly effects of this technique as it was applied to the citizens of Iraq recently.

    H
ow can you say that it is stupid to attempt to defend yourself against such an attack that
is meant to destroy you. Just who is it that is stupid here? As the US attempts to tighten
..........its grip on Iran, Iran will attempt to stick a knife into your guts and twist it off. They will
...........attempt..to make you Bleed - and helping the Houthi's take out Saudi Oil production
........................................................................................and infrastructure will only be the start of it

And it is the threat to the irrevocable destruction of World Economy for which, in the eyes
    of the
World the US will be held responsible. That will prove to be the sharp blade of the knife
It was the US who percipitated this crisis. The US who opened this can of worms and it is
................................................................................................ to the US where the fingers will point

“If one day they want to prevent the export of Iran’s oil, then no oil will be exported
    from the Persian Gulf
    - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani

It is high time for hawks
like Pompeo to recognize that Iran means what it says and has the tools to fulfill that promise.
...................................I expect even the Saudi's are now beginning to understand that Calculus

I seem to remember a few weeks ago they were making it clear they would prefer not to be involved in aggression against Iran themselves.

Have you seen the evidence this morning? The evidence is pretty damning that the Iranians did it.

If it was, then according to an expert in the area here Iran will be doing more until after the US election. If you renege on deals, blame the country who was keeping them for your choice, start putting heavy sanctions on them, demand that the rest of the world do so as well and then have countries saying how they are all together looking to your end...do not be surprised if said country acts somewhat unusually.

I have seen nothing of any evidence in papers here.

I wouldn't expect a major conflict from this. My reasons:

    1. USA already threatened war to Iran. Provocations with oil tankers and other kind already happened. But no war followed. This very accident was obviously not planned by the US as a provocation. So the possibility of war is less than several months before.
    2. USA didn't start the war. And this certainly is not the affectunate love for peace - this is not profitable and too risky for the US at the moment. This attack certainly didn't happened because of the US. So it is not the US. In these case the US won't start the war even if Iran openely destroys 1-2 countries intentinally. It will only make diplomatic response.
    3. Such important objects as oil plant are covered from air. And this AA-systems (of american manufature) didn't show they are of any use. So it is quite obvious that Iran and probably Russia worked together arming their proxies in Yemeni as it used to be in Syria where russian AA-systems defended their only airfield and their allies. ISIS used to be (IMHO) proxies of the US.
    4. After this attack the patriots of SA and the USA will get berserk, so they need the words and promises. This is why we have all these sayings. But in fact before an attack there were more hopes to believe into overwhelming power of the US and SA in the region. At the moment the US needs to remake any plans they could have and to provide a military build up according to the new plans.
    5. USA got a blow about how easy all these drones and rockets passed AA defense. SA purchased lots of the newest american armament which actually failed to protect a very protected zone. Not even an area. So there are new questions about the protection of american territory in a possible conflict with Russia or China.

Conclusion. I think that we will have several weeks of vicious war rhetorics blaming Iran from the point of the US and a much more polite rhetorics from the side of SA. SA and Turkey are able to secure the region if they find common grounds with Iran or destory the region if they don't. But if they do the next question will be... - Israel... This fight is very important in a hybrid world war which was started by the US several years ago in the attempt to win some time or perhaps markets by military methods. It is an obvious loss for the US and there could be major responses if the US had all the forces enough to destroy the opposition in the ME-region. Amazingly an episode of a distant war has crucial meaning for the whole US, which currently is talking more aggressively than even SA. Noone wants to surrender and noone will. This is a major risk for the future. Because major total war is always near the modern 'hybrid' one.

Oil is important, but not everything. Like in the Great Patriotic War the destiny of Empire depends on the allies... :) If the sauds in the coming weeks manage to succeed at any front with the help of american weaponry - it will surely raize the stakes. In the best way possible for the US all the drones and rockets from Yemeni shouldn't have dropped in the territory of the plant. Or perhaps 1-2 could have broken through making small damages. If there was such a news (third or second in the News) it could be good for the US. But at the moment the US looks as 'the biggest economy' with the 'most debt' and 'most powerful empire' without any ability to protect their biggest customer against nomads armed with cheap and lethal drones (of a possible Iranian origin) and rockets.

I might be even mistakening that it was coordinated by Iran or Russia. It could have been Yemeni militants who altogether don't cost as much as the only Patriot AA-system or AEGIS armed warship.

PS. You need to look at what is happening not from the position of peace. But you need to accept that this is war already. A 'hybrid' war. A war for the world, which is taken from underneath of the US step by step. Syria, Turkey... What next? SA? Iraque? Ukraine? Next battle can continue in any hemisphere or even in the space, And the war is finished when US either accepts capitulation of all the 'bad countries' or if it capitulates itself. It doesn't look that negotiations are even considered as an alternative.

If total war is chosen, that will mean no planet for today's children regardless or not in whether nukes are used. The US's children as well as Iran's and Israel's - who this is all for.

It is time for humans to grow up and learn to behave. I was watching something when they spoke of the UN the other night. They were saying the UN virtually is worthless now what with Israel and the US's denial of International law.

I saw the evidence from the Saudi military spokesman. What did you find damning about it? Their conclusions? I didn't see anything else.
Even their 'conclusions' weren't all that damning. They refused to say the missiles were fired from Iran; only that the missiles and drones were of Iranian origin and that it came from the "north". And they made it clear that they don't view the attack as one that is against Saudi Arabia alone, saying that any response will have to be from the "international community" because it was somehow the "international community" that was attacked.

Quite enough to march, burn Iranian flags, scream "Death to Iran" and promise "the Mother of all wars".

They are playing videos of the parts of Iranian missiles pulled out of the destruction on TV.

I agree that Trump reneged on the Iranian nuclear deal. He is obsessed with destroying Obama's work above all.

Israel news is reporting a study on War of God and Magog .. where 90 million will die just in the beginning.

Princeton Study Confirms: Gog and Magog a Realistic Scenario

1 day ago · As disturbing as the SGS simulation is, it may be considered as an accurate depiction of the pre-Messiah war of Gog and Magog. The War of Gog and Magog is described in prophecy as being an unusually short war. A tradition from the Vilna Gaon (a prominent 18th century Torah authority) teaches that the war of Gog and Magog will last 12 minutes.

    The Scofield heresy has legs.

It is always like that. People like you and me don't need it. But the people who can gain a million or lose a billion have different motivation. They'd rather destroy the world than live like people...

I don't say that the US and Israel are the root of all evil. Don't confuse me with our friend Iranian Monitor. I think that policy is using the people and doesn't really depend on them. Only during the elections the people have a chance to participate in a bloody show which in most cases ends up with a victory of the guy who spent more money for the election campaign...

I am not threatening. I just face the fact that total war is possible. It won't happen this week though... In Russia we have a saying that the dog that barks doesn't bite. So there will be a lot of barking in the coming days. But we will survive. :)

And you could tell they were "Iranian" how? That is their conclusion. If we had independent experts look at the issue, like they have done in the past when the UN has investigated these claims, maybe we will end up with the same type of 'non-conclusive' conclusions: the components include parts believed to be manufactured in Iran, the systems resemble some Iranian systems, but how and where they got them, no one knows!

And how do you know that? Do you live there? Or are you simply repeating what Daddy Mike Pompeo has told you?

If that's the case, you are credulous indeed.

Motivation. I see three. The Houthis - whoh hey do not dare come again.
False flag wanting war with Iran
    and
Iran showing just how capable it could be if anyone gets started....though Iran's seems less heavily weighted given that Bolton was gone.
