They sent me there earlier but I came away with a different perspective. I have always tried to be honest with myself.
Oh please, you don't have the only voice in America. Always taking the opposition side in disputes isn't so much patriotism as speaking from a safe place because your freedom to do so is secured by those you dislike. Your views are guaranteed to be parroted on every international issue. This still isn't a democracy and decisions on policy are still made above our pay grade. If our policies lead to conflict there will be young Americans putting their lives on the line and some will lose. They deserve our support in what they are required to do because they are going to do what is asked of them even though there are people who disagree with every American policy decision.
A definite possiblity: 1. By mistake. 2. Intentionally. Also posible. 1. ad hoc 2. or Black Flag Yes, I've heard that their proof is lying beneath the stack of those thousands of WMD's in the Iraki desert so it might take some time to locate it and dig it out. As a matter of fact, I was just saying that. Could be!
My point was that Iran is highly advanced technically. I have no doubt that the sailors who floated into Iranian waters a few years back was not exactly an accident, but rather a means for Iran to get back the money due them from Obama.
My point was that Iran is capable of doctoring a video. some sarcasm may have been involved describing their tech savy. Maybe.
The purpose of a democracy is that one can question their government's policy, and consequently change it if it does not benefit the American people economically, morally or in any other way. If I was an Iranian I would question their policy, but since I'm an American I'm questioning ours.
Which is why I suppose the US president had to give assurances that an Iranian drone had in fact been "destroyed" The US of course is capable of shooting down an Iranian drone but everything surrounding this story suggests the Americans somehow bungled things and no one in the Pentagon wants to own up to a story which an over enthusiastic Trump personally first broke to the media in the midst of a meeting with a foreign head of state.
The drone was splashed, it wasn't one of our own and nobody else is claiming ownership. It's a done deal but speculate all you like, it's over.
You always do. I haven't seen you say a single positive thing about the U.S. I don not believe you are an American.
I am not an American. I do know however that people who start suggesting that people are not patriotic if they do not agree with what their Government says are not democratic minded people and do not understand how democracy works. Democracy works by many different views arguing. Authoritarianism is when only one idea is allowed and those not agreeing are seen as unpatriotic. I see a lot of America people doing this now which goes along with a lot of American's following what is now recognised openly as a borderline fascist Party which if it gets a second term will almost certainly be openly fascist. Those little bits like not letting someone have an alternative view or they are 'not patriotic', even the on going talk about patriotism is very much a sign that a country is moving well away from working on democratic principles. Interesting that your country believes it has the right to destroy countries it says are not democracies. The same also cry whether people say they are a democracy or they are not a democracy.
See, there you go. Recognized as fascist by whom? This is a legally elected President and a Congress that was elected Democratically which is pretty much the way all administrations and Legislatures are selected. There have been no limits on attacks, nobody's freedom of speech has been infringed and criticism has been both vicious and broad covering everything from his choice of food to the color of his hair. The same 1st amendment that permits all that criticism also gives him the right to fight back and for those who elected him to defend him and their choice. So carry on but it won't be undisputed. We are not racist or facist and we will tell you that when the question comes up.
check out the beginning of the thread. A Nationalist country with a President who is telling people who are not white to go back home, is pretty much stating it. Over here people were talking about it. You are too obvious to deny it any more. Maybe you need to study fascism if you have no idea. I have posted an excellent article by Paul Mason earlier on in this thread which should give you some idea.
Oh no! That cannot be possible! I am sure the video is "classified information"! So, sadly (very sadly) Washington won't be able to present "exibit A" ..... even for their own benifit. But hey! Their credibility is solid so we can trust them!
You can't prove that, but you can convince yourself of it under the right circumstances. The only 'reliable' thing about the Pentagon is its propensity to lose track of obscene amounts of money, and its ability to conjure up 'enemies' to 'defend' us against by invading countries under fraud and in violation of international treaties.
Being honest with oneself is a good policy, but some humans are incapable of doing that. Your post reminds me of a quote attributed to Hartley Shawcross, a Nuremberg prosecutor from the US. "There comes a point when a man must refuse to answer to his leader if he is also to answer to his own conscience."
And all of that is something you cannot prove.. You don't have to like it but America is the goid guys.
I've been watching and listening to the Pentagon lie for decades. It's proof enough for me. You, Robert, are free to believe whatever you wish.
