You are the one that said it was there story. If that is the case there has to be an alternate story. I'm just curious as to what it is.

 

The story is simple....Bush has been out of office for almost 6 years. BoBo is in charge and he has bumbled the peace...

 

The only thing that's pathetic here is how the talk radio right tries to pretend that the events in Iraq today are not the inevitable consequences of the unnecessary and unprovoked war that they cheered so loudly for.

There is nothing desperate about my blaming Bush for the situation in Iraq today. These events were widely predicted as the long term blowback from Bush's recklessness as early as 2002 (and I was one of those voices).

You use words like "desperate" and "pathetic".

But there's one thing I can say, that you can't. And that is "I told you so".

Iraq is not fixable, and it went beyond fixable within weeks of the US attack. When Paul Bremmer disbanded the army and started the De Baathifcation programs, all hope of estabishing a stable legitimate government disappeared, and it has never re emerged.

The Malaki government was never much more than a construct of corrupt Shia opportunists, functioning behind the veneer of fake democracy. The torture chambers are open and the corruption is serial.

This is what you get for sending 4000 Americans to their deaths on a fool's errand, and borrowing and squandering one and a half trillion dollars, filling the wards of VA hospitals, only to watch the whole house of cards collapse

There is nothing that Obama can do short of launching a full scale military invasion, something that no one will support.

But the loud mouths on the talk radio right keep shouting that their disaster is Obama's fault, while never once admitting that even they would not support the only solution available to us besides letting nature take its course.

The hypocricy of right wing on this is obvious, desperate and pathetic!

 

We have been out of Iraq for years, Nouri Al Maliki bumbled the peace, the government installed by Bush, lead Iraq into this.

 

Seems pretty much what b-1 says. And please explain what in Saddam's track record ever showed he was a threat to the US.

 

Please explain exactly what peace ever existed after our invasion!

 

Most of the insurgents were driven out of the country to the point they almost quit entering.

Actually the Bush court did claim that Iraqi oil would pay for the war which sent oil people into hysterical laughter from the start. Of course Iraqi oil production was poor before Bush's attack.. then it really fell out of bed to an all time low for 9 years. NeoCons don't know anything about the oil business... just more magical thinking.

Re Neocons: Their Iraq is falling apart with great speed. Their "war to eliminate WMD" was sham. Their war to fight Saddam Hussein´s "links" to AlQaeda was a sham.
